    My wife Julie has been attending Bridgewater Day Care now since Nov.24. She has severe young onset Dementia and we as a family were continuing to see a marked decline in her daily engagement skills with everyone. We were all struggling to stimulate her continuously throughout the day. Since attending Bridgewater, she has improved significantly in her overall temperament. Lisa and her team made her feel welcome since day one. She is more engaged and all the team go out of their way to help Julie really enjoy her time there. I cannot thank Lisa and the team enough for the help and support my wife has had since attending there. The peace of mind myself and daughters have achieved knowing she is well cared for, stimulated and genuinely supported and looked after is immense. Thank you to Lisa and all her team for their hard work and dedication in caring for our beloved wife, Mum and Nana, to the standards we truly need. Thank you.

    I would like to thank you all for all the help that you have given to me and my wife, it is so reassuring to know that Sheila is being look after so well. The days my wife is at the Day Centre is a rest bite for me, I always go to play darts with my best friend in Chorley. I worry a lot about my wife as she is always very tired. I find it very hard to entertain her and to keep her active the way she is at the moment. Bridgewater Day Care is giving my wife the opportunity to take part in any activities, but most of all, it gives my wife a change of scenery. I don’t know how much longer my wife can still go to the Day Centre, but as long as the Day Centre is still willing to entertain her, I don’t see any point in stopping my wife from going. Being a carer 24/7 with no life line takes its toll, I take my wife to the Day Centre 3 times a week, it is the only rest bite I have and I would be totally lost without the help of Bridgewater Day Care. The staff are second to none and provide a brilliant service. I would recommend the Bridgewater Day Centre to anyone who needs a break from caring, or to provide your loved one with somewhere special to go, trust me they will love it there.

    An excellent care centre and an absolute life changer for my 94-year-old mum and me . They make such a positive difference to her life, well being and happiness. Mum looks forward to her days there, she likes the company of the other clients and adores the team. She loves eating lunch with others, chatting and dancing when she feels up to it. The centre is a warm, happy, caring environment with activities like arts and crafts, group games, films, music therapy, celebrations for special occasions, visits from the local school and animal-assisted therapy. A fantastic place for socialisation and care - Mum definitely feels less isolated and much happier because of her visits. The team are truly the backbone of the operation. Their dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm make every visit a happy and engaging one; treating people as individuals and with patience and kindness. The support they offer relatives is equally valued they make such a difference to all our lives.

    Dad is always so happy and lifted when he comes home from the day centre. It’s lovely to know that he’s safe and well looked after during the day. The centre is clean and tidy but has a homely feel, and all the girls are amazing!
