Visited J block MRI scan Saturday. All staff approachable and professional and good clear explanations regarding process given. Only comment the door needs a sign to say " please come in and take a seat " I stood outside for a while, as windows blocked, so unsure if your allowed in.

First time I had to get a scan the staff were unprofessional, giggling and not giving clear instructions. Second time, I was told they didn't want to XRay me as they didn't want to expose me to more radiation after an MRI. However, I didn't have contrast with the MRI so there was NO radiation. I've called back to clarify I wasn't exposed to radiation, I have already been told both by the neurologist and the receptionist at my GP practice that I need to book an XRay with this department. Now I've been stuck on hold for over 45 minutes, with over half an hour at position one. I got through straight away earlier today (when they told me I couldn't book an appointment because of the "radiation'). Position 2 went up within 10 minutes. I've heard multiple clicks on the line to suggest they're seeing my number and then deliberately prolonging hold, likely because they don't seem to think I'm meant to have an XRay. I'm waiting for a doctor's call and as I was moved up to position "1" so fast I figured I should wait as I have other arrangements to deal with today and can't spend it back and forth (again) with radiology. I've already had my wait prolonged by a month because of these staff, now I'm sitting hear knowing they're deliberately pressing the hold button over and over (I can literally hear the clicks, you can hear the difference when you go up in the queue, when the music is about to change, and when you're being placed on hold). This is a joke. Edit: forgot to add, I've also called them twice before, once asking for help to find out which MRI consultant they'd contacted (they refused to tell me or give a number I could call) and also this morning I called to find out the booking number and they couldn't tell me, so I had to call through the main booking line for the hospital. They're a disgrace. My call is now at over 55 minutes on hold - at "number one in the queue" for the majority. Edit again: All this is before 12pm on a Thursday. I first called at around 9:30am.

Bolton radiology don't answer the phone had text from them today at 12pm rang 4 times since 12:05pm no answer great customer service but Bolton hospital in general 6* rest of service are perfect
