   Had the best ever experience for my first (proper) tattoo here! Lucy is an absolute master at what she does. The whole vibe of the studio is wonderful. The two other artists there on the day (Joel and Becci) were also wonderful, encouraging me during the pain and just generally had a really lovely day chatting with everyone. Lucy listened to what I wanted and worked with me in regards to the design, making small adjustments to the piece when asked. Lucy checked in with me throughout the process and offered me breaks, lollies and fizzy drinks to keep me going. Even staying late to finish it off (think it was roughly about 7 hours worth of tattooing excluding breaks). Genuinely, I can’t thank the team enough but especially Lucy, whose patience and artistic abilities are truly second to none. Thank you so much Lucy. You made me so comfortable and are such a lovely person to talk to. The tattoo is stunning and I can’t stop looking at it. Can’t wait to see you again!

   I was tattooed by Lucy, who is a fab artists, was super lovely and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. All of the other artists were super friendly, welcoming and the whole experience was really great. The Aviary itself is really cosy and chilled out and by far the best tattoo experience I’ve had so far - thank you!!

   Amazing as always! I have been to Lucy at this studio for many times over the years and all her perfect has been to an amazing standard. Everyone in the studio is lovely. Studio itself is gorgeous and everyone’s customer service is amazing. Could not recommend enough

   Went into for a fairly ambitious first tattoo. Becci created my design ahead of time and we discussed in length at the appointment about size, placement, and minor adjustments. The atmosphere of the studio is amazing. It's a work of art in of itself. With pictures from what appeared to be a large variety of Artists on the wall and plants everywhere. It was a breath of fresh air in the 'town by the side of the road' that is Headingly. The tattoo process was hard but it was eased by the friendly attitude of the tattoo artists, Becci and Nat. Becci noticed when I started to flag at the end and agreed to reschedule. I think if she hadn't noticed I might have pushed myself too hard. Which I really appreciate. My tattoo is still healing but what I've seen so far is beautiful and really captures what I wanted. All in all a horrible ordeal made easier by a wonderful studio.

   Got a tattoo by Nat here and she was absolutely brilliant, she completely brought my idea to life and was a lovely person to spent a few hours with. She sent me a design draft ahead of time so I could tweak it via email the day before (this really helped with my anxiety as I find it a lot more difficult asking for tweaks in person at the appointment). Couldn't have had a better overall experience. Lovely, calm atmosphere in the studio and all of the artists were so friendly and chatty, I felt really welcomed and at ease.

   My partner and I had matching tattoos done by Nat at The Aviary yesterday. It is, by far, the best tattoo experience I have ever had. The design Nat came up with from my ideas and reference photos, was far, far better than we could have ever imagined. It captures far more emotion than we had ever envisaged, and the style is really playful. I felt a bit awkward asking for amends/tweaks, having not been through a design process before, but Nat was so patient and reassuring that my input was helpful and important. The studio itself is really calm, beautifully decorated, comfortable and feels like a very safe space. Shoes are optional! Nat and Becci work side by side, and there's a little 'living room' area where you can sit and wait. Nat printed different sizes of the tattoo off and took time during the positioning process. When being tattooed, Nat checked regularly if I was okay (my arm was in an awkward position) and we had a really good chat. It never felt awkward, Nat just felt like a friend. While mostly Becci and Nat are chatting to their individual clients, there are times when everyone in the studio is chatting together and it just feels very inclusive. My partner sat comfortably watching football on his phone whilst I was tattooed, and then I was able to sit and read and drink a brew whilst he was being tattooed, which was just really lovely. My partner described his tattoo process as 'relaxing'. We are both really impressed with Nat's work and can't wait to see how they heal. The studio uses a 'second skin' product so the after care process is super easy (you can see it in the attached photo). Payment is also easy via bank transfer. Nat made it clear that we should contact her if there are any issues, and I would feel really comfortable in doing so - which hasn't been the case elsewhere! I would highly recommend the studio, especially Nat, and I will be back for another tattoo in the next few months! Thank you, Nat.
