The story behind the studio’s name is amazing — while renovating the building, a 1930’s matchbox actually fell from the ceiling! That’s how the place got its name, and I think it makes the studio even more unique.
My friend went to get tattooed here, arranged a time, she went and the shop was closed, her number has been blocked, she’s been ghosted and lost money. Don’t bother going here, there are plenty more reputable shops. Very unprofessional behaviour.
Made some general enquiries via message & was booked in for some tattoo consultations but when I arrived at the agreed time he was never at the studio. Queried this which followed by my number getting blocked, which I found a bit bizarre. Going by the previous review of the poor girl, it looks like I dodged a bullet anyway. Thankfully found Good Karma down the road who did a fantastic tattoo instead!
I had an extremely disappointing experience with callam. Not only did my tattoo come out incorrect and not like the approved stencil, but he completely ignored my input about how I wanted it done. I was paying for something permanent on my body, and instead of collaborating with me, he dismissed my suggestions and repeatedly said, “No, you need to listen to what I’m telling you.” This left me feeling really uncomfortable as you can imagine. This wasn’t just about personal preference, this was a failure to accurately follow the agreed upon design. To make matters worse, the next day a friend pointed out a spelling error in the tattoo. When I reached out to callam to ask for a partial refund or for the issue to be fixed, I was completely ignored. No apology, no offer to correct the mistake, and absolutely no accountability. It’s clear callam prioritises his own ego over client satisfaction. If you’re looking for someone who actually listens, respects your input, and takes responsibility for their work, then avoid this place at all costs. I now have to live with a mistake that could’ve been avoided had the artist simply listened and followed the stencil we both agreed on. Do yourself a favour and take your business somewhere that values your input and respects your body, this isn’t one of them.
Allways have amazing treatment and I allways feel relaxed thats why I keep going back callum is very helpful and polite just an old round good experience
most amazing guy! would highly recommend, shop is absolutely stunning very sanitary & professional, will definitely be back for another!! he did my sleeve tattoo today and I love it so much, definitely booking again for in a few months, can’t recommend him enough!
Callum is a very professional tattoo artist with a lot of skill and talent, his work is Amazing. His shop is very clean and welcoming. He has done my first tattoo and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Callum’s service it’s affordable and high quality.
What can I say Callum was very professional in what he does asked what I wanted and drew a design and we tweak the design to what I wanted makes u feel so comfortable and charming personally and was really chatty the end result was fantastic I'm off again to some added on that's how good he hus and tell u about after care really brilliant tattoo artist
Great experience getting a tattoo done here. Callam is a brilliant tattooist, so talented and knowledgeable. He & Lillie make you feel super welcome. Amazing job they've done on the studio too. Will definitely be returning. Can't recommend highly enough.
