   I know this place had issues in the past but i think it is much better now. Staff are always friendly and although the selection is pretty limited they have always had what I needed and seem to well stocked of essential items eg milk etc ( which wasn't hasn't always been the case)

   Have to give this store 5 stars as James and his staff always go the extra mile whenever we go in The wine selection is amazing! Always go above and beyond and so friendly! Rain, snow and wind our papers are always delivered!! Well done guys

   Not a great experience unfortunately… very cramped and grubby little shop which appears to be very neglected. Against my better judgement I purchased a few bits, upon reaching my destination opened a packet of ‘Curators’ snacks which were soft and unpalatable, and upon checking the use by date saw that they were well beyond their best before date. OK, no worries - I’ll wash the taste away with this sparkling soft drink (also from the same store). The drink was flat and tasted ‘off’ - checked the sell by date and guess what? Yup, also past its use by date. OK, I’ll give the store a bell to let them know their products are out of date but still being sold for consumption to an unwitting public. Called five times, but the phone just rings and rings - nobody picking up. Lesson learned… AVOID THIS SHOP if you’re not keen on eating/drinking stale and out of date goods.

1. Even Handed ★☆☆☆☆

   The management needs to be worried about this store. There are several “jobsworths” here who delight in telling you what you CANNOT do, especially in the post office. In particular there are 2 rude assistants who have a cushy little number in your shop acting as they please which has been remarked upon by many customers. People come to buy goods because they use the post office. There is serious competition for comms services and maybe some of your staff need to do a customer service course, or simply be sacked.

   Was told to move my car even though there was enough space to get past, I only needed a few items, I would have been less than 5 minutes. When I went back in a customer chirped in to tell me to move my car even though I already had. Won't be shopping here again and will be telling everyone I know to avoid it.

   Suspended my newspaper delivery in May without prior advice because my April payment was over a month ago. Over 30 years I have paid within 24 hours of receiving a paper bill. However, bills are not always sent, including the one they said had been sent out yesterday - I have not received it. Inefficient system. Also have had other issues with pricing on offers. Not a pleasant shop at all. Avoid.
