Always advise people to avoid this Vets due to the experience my family and I had when we had to have our beloved dog Tigger, put down (this was some time ago, but everytime i drive past this place it makes me so sad). The treatment from the staff was heartless. Felt like we were on a production line, and we were just another day. No compassion whatsoever. Choose a good Vets with loving and kind staff that care for your pets. I now drive further afield for a good Vets that cares about my dog!

I would rate it -5 if possible. Absolutely unprofessional service...the doctor messed up all the pups, didn't weighted them.....nothing. Absolutely rubish vet clinic. Won't step in it ever again. Prefer to drive to medivet Standish, had great experience there.

I see this vet is getting a few bad reviews but I have been using them since I moved to Skelmersdale 3 years ago, during that time, they have provided excellent care to my salukis and Lurchers and also to my Saluki puppy litters. I can't fault them based on my own experience

I have had nothing but poor service from this Vet... I took my cat Smokie to the vet with a swelling in his mouth... he was given antibiotics to help with the swelling and told to return in two weeks. I returned after 2 weeks and was told I had a very healthy 17 and a half year old cat. After 2 weeks I found Smokie had deteriorated and took him back. I was then told that he had cancer right through his mouth. I asked how this could be possible and was not gibe a straight answer. I made the decision to have Smokie put to sleep. The vet hurt Smokie who cried out loud ... I took Smokie in my arms and told the vet ... Your hurting him. After Smokie had passed away in my arms. The vet showed no compassion what so ever and just said he's gone and walked out.... The reception who was in the room seemed shocked by his actions... I was destroyed and was consoled by the receptionist. Second Cat Luna developed constipation and was given a paste which helped her considerably. A few months later Sassy another cat developed the same thing and I was told she needed to be taken in for a procedure Lunas procedure cost £45 Sassys procedure £300+ ... The vet could not give me an explanation as to why two cats with the same problem needed two different approaches... my 4 cats are now with Vets for Pets were I have never had an issue.

I just had a visit there with my little pet hamster Muffin. The receptionist seem to not care who is coming in and out. She didn't event ask what's my name. The vet in the other hand is one very very bad vet. He straight away grabbed my poor hamster, not only he stressed him soo much but he started pulling him around showing that he clearly knows nothing about how to handle this animal or how to examin it. My pet is never bitting but in this case he tried to, as the vet has no idea what to do!!!! Soo unprofessional he jumped around being scared (the vet not my hamster this time lol) and he send me off saying that "he is okay and his teeth seem to be good and also the weight seems to be good to. How can you know if all this is good if you haven't examine even a bit the animal??? I wouldnt leave even a one star review. Don't bother to goo there. Not a good place to take your pet!

In my experience I've only ever seen vets that care and lovely reception staff who love all pets as much as the pet owners do! I just cannot give 5 stars because the major let down of the service is the cost. It honestly puts me off going with my dog because bills of around 70 pounds aren't rare and no help is provided to low income households.

★ The attitude from this vet is appalling! He showed no interest in the dog whatsoever and didn't even bother to give her a little fuss to make her feel at ease. He spoke rather abruptly to me, was not interested in my questions and stated I should just return to them if it happened again instead of offering useful advice about prevention. Clearly was only interested in a quick £50 in and out job because twice we've been for the same problem and twice he didn't even bother to clean the dog's ear out for us either time, just sent us on our way with some drops. Will definitely be using a new vet from now on.

I am disgusted and and utterly appalled at the shocking behaviour and service that I have received from this so called vets. I have just been called by the owner of this practice to say that my business is no longer welcome due to giving constructive feebaback to one of his employees. This employee is rude abrupt and utterly lacking in all skills related to customer services and representing a quality brand. The incompetence of this surgery is shocking and the mere fact that I have been asked to stop attending this vets mid treatment because I was told it's up to me to re-order chemo drugs to treat my sick animal. When I brought this to the attention of the vets to state that it's not up to me to re-order the medication I was accused of being rude and abrupt. What I can't stand for is poor customer service when we are paying hundreds of pounds for the continued so called care of my animal and incompetence in the extreme. This vets is ran by and headed by an equally incompetent fool who blindly believes his staff who represent his 'business' and are the face of his brand are offering a service that befits this establishment. I can only laugh at the fact he has delusions of what a quality customer service experience is. My advice to anyone that wishes to take your sick animal here please DO NOT as they are as far way from quality animal welfare and service that you could imagine. My other words of advice are if you have a complaint please do not go in as a male, please send in your wife or female relative then you cannot be accused of being aggressive and argumentative to the female member of staff who feels it pertinent to tell me in a rude and aggressive manner that I am in the wrong. Basically if you care for your sick or injured animal take them anywhere other than here, because you will regret it due to the incompetence of the staff which unfortunately starts at the top who is the owner.
