Excellent vehicle mechanics. I've always had excellent service and, even better pragmatic advice. They have kept my older cars running cost effectively beyond what you would have expected. They take on challenges that others would struggle with and solve them with ingenuity. Can't fault them.
Fault-Finding Genius! I came across these guys by accident because they don't advertise. Well, once you're a long-established business and have a regular clientele, the need to find new customers becomes less necessary. So I guess they didn't really need another fool like me coming in spouting off with unbridled confidence about my Volvo's thermostat being bust. However, pity was taken and my car was accepted in for professional scrutiny. Turns out I was wrong and after some in-depth fault-finding, they got to the bottom of the problem. This process involved stripping back the Volvo's Peugeot engine to the timing-belt and water-pump - so no walk in the park. In the end, the fault causing the overheating was a collapsed copper valve in a pipe which had stopped the cooling system from working after which, I learned was another unnecessary design feature of the modern-ish diesel engine. Why engines have to become so over-engineered is beyond my comprehension and I'm guessing components will only get more inter-dependent upon each other. The charge for the service I received was very good value and I was more than happy to be invited to become part of the customer roster. Obviously I will be going back again and it was great to chat with Lee, who is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. I even got to see the work of art they'd made of a 50 year old VW camper van which is an incredible piece of restoration work. When you see stuff like that, you know your car's going to be in good hands.
I have used LL engineering for many years. As a used car dealership, we need reliable and knowledgeable people working on our cars. They've carried out all manner of repairs, from basic servicing to solving the trickiest of problems, always finding a solution. I would highly recommend them.
Have used L L Engineering on a number of occasions, since meeting with them by chance four years ago. Always helpful and friendly, and, unlike other places we have used in the past, don't hang on to you vehicle for days, usually in and out same day, only had one van stay overnight once, waiting for parts. Which is important to us, when running a business requiring transport. A real gem of a find, can't recomend highly enough!
Can’t recommend this garage highly enough. Had my VW T5, serviced & a cambelt change. Returned to my driveway by the end of the day. Other little ‘niggles’ also fixed. Great price, service and knowledgeable mechanics. Thanks to Lee, Mikey & all the team.
I've had a consistent problem with my car. LL engineering sorted it within the hour and were very honest about the work that needed to be carried out. They concluded that it was just a wrong sized washer previously fitted to a part. I know some garages would have charged for a new part. They only charged me for their time. I even got a lift home after dropping my car off. Great service
Had constant problem with my car cutting out, spent a small fortune trying to get it fixed until a friend of mine recommended this garage. Had my car collected and Lee and his team fixed my car and it was dropped off to me the next day, really reasonable price too and didn’t charge any extra for collection or drop off, just wish I had been told about this place before taking it elsewhere. I was so pleased as genuinely thought I would have to cut my losses and get another motor, but few weeks down the line and my car is in top form. Would definitely recommend this garage and will continue to use it in the future.
Amazing service from Lee and the Team at LL Engineering. They were recommended to me by both a dealer and my mobile mechanic for work outside of their ability. Not only was my car picked up when requested, but the work carried out to an excellent standard, and at an affordable price, less than half that of a main dealer. I have since recommended LL to friends and colleagues who are all very impressed with the service. I have since asked them f or assistance to complete an upgrade to my car which was completed quickly and efficiently. Another car has since joined the family and will only ever use Lee and the team should the need ever arise. Thanks guys.
