Got a takeaway from here last night and honestly, it was really good. The food was hot and tasted nice, exactly what I expected. It didn’t take too long to arrive, which was great. Everything I ordered was there and nothing was missing or wrong. I’ve had some takeaways in the past that weren’t great, with cold food or missing items, but this one was spot on. The flavours were really good. Definitely happy with the meal and would order from here again.

A perfect summer surprise at Oiishi. A longtime favourite that keeps getting better. My partner and I have been coming to Oiishi for over six years now, and not once have we left disappointed. This time, we decided to try their new summer tasting menu for my birthday, a bit of a change from our usual favourites, and we were pleasantly surprised. The experience was beautifully paced, allowing us to really savour each dish as it arrived. The summer menu gave us the chance to try things we might never have ordered otherwise, and it opened our eyes to some fantastic new flavours. Highlights included the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef, the delicate and refreshing ebi summer rolls, and the beautifully presented tuna tartare. Every bite was thoughtful and refined. We ended the evening with a refreshing mango sorbet, which came with a delightful little surprise, a perfect way to round off what was a special birthday date night. If I had to pick a negative, which ultimately wasn’t a negative as it still tasted delicious as it is, was the Chilled Ramen with Volcano sauce didn’t have a lot of spice to it. We were expecting to have a kick of heat but it wasn’t there. The staff were exceptional throughout, attentive, informative, and welcoming. Each dish was introduced with care, and a personal visit from the chef to check on our experience was a warm and much-appreciated gesture. For the quality and variety, the summer menu is excellent value. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a relaxed, high-quality tasting experience that offers both comfort and creativity, we can’t recommend Oiishi enough.

Recently discovered this wee place, been twice within the week. Food is lovely and fresh, with great variety. Very surprised when our bill came, thought it was going to be more expensive. Teriyaki salmon is definitely highlight of the menu so far Would highly recommend

I had a amazing experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere is wonderful, providing the perfect setting for a delightful meal. The sushi is truly exquisite—beautifully prepared and incredibly fresh. The service is excellent, with staff who are both attentive and welcoming. A special mention goes to the sushi chef, who is not only highly skilled but also rather handsome! The sushi is a masterpiece, both in taste and presentation. I highly recommend a visit here—not only will you enjoy superb service and food, but you’ll also get the pleasure of watching a very talented and handsome chef in action. It’s well worth a visit!

What a lovely experience to be had. I visited this restaurant with my friend for dinner. We entered and were kindly greeted and shown to our seats. We were then given menus and asked if we would like drinks. We ordered two Disarrano and Diet Cokes which was no problem they even asked if we just wanted one can of diet coke between the two of us as opposed to automatically charging us for two full cans for a little extra dosh. The menu is huge and there are loads of options available from smaller dishes and bento boxes to big meals. The meals are a little pricier at about £15 each but the food is delicious! My friend and I ordered a handful of smaller dishes and shared tapas style. Service was prompt and presentation was clean. The atmosphere was nice, it's got a hidden gem feel to it because the building is small and the tables are quite close together with low ceilings but it was lovely. Although I went with my friend, this place has date night material! The decor is stylish with cherry blossom branches on the ceiling which makes for good photos. I honestly loved my experience here and wouldn't hesitate to return.

The first time I got food from here was during lockdown and it was takeaway only. My husband and I loved the food and kept going back. Now that the restaurant is open and the full menu is available, it’s one of our favourite places to go for Japanese food and sushi. Cannot recommend the food here highly enough.

Lovely place with friendly staff and nice food. Would definitely visit again 10/10 The only thing I would say was that it was a little dark inside so I had to use the light from my phone to read the menu, but that's not a criticism of the restaurant as the decor is lovely.
