The cakes are amazing full of flavour and if you go stick to just then you won't be disappointed. Beyond that main food is another story I had a Poole burger price point is same as most good restaurants and it was a sorry affair. Burger patty was likely frozen, full of salt, overcooked on a dry past-it bum with two lettuce leaves no dressing, chips chunky uncooked and can easily cook better at home. Only brighter point was coleslaw but still bland but certainly homemade. If this was £5 I would understand but at £15 area it's not a comparison on about 25 other eateries just off the top of my head. Again for tea/coffee and cake it's the business just stick to that otherwise you will just want to be putting whats served straight in the bin.

Wheats is a lovely laid out garden centre with furniture, notes books and a florist upon entry, flowing round in to a wide selection of indoor plants and pots before heading outside to outdoor plants, shrubs and trees. With the Waterside Cafe serving delicious breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas, definitely pop in for a bite to eat while browsing! If you have little ones, the fairy trail hidden through the hedge by the lake is a great place to explore your imagination as you discover each fairies home, ending with a visit to the duck pond (food available to purchase in the shop). Head back to the beginning to set up your picnic on the benches next to the fairy wings and stocks for your photo ops!

We stopped off at the Waterside café within the Garden centre and managed to get a bench table by the lake which was absolutely beautiful and calming. Everywhere seemed clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. Can't fault it at all.

Great little garden centre with a cafe and a fairy trail to keep the little ones entertained. I was very surprised at how reasonable the prices are for indoor houseplants. Some excellent varieties too! A good selection for the garden or allotment in the outdoor section. I found it a little lacking on the choice of seeds near the checkout, but that's pretty minor. The little walk round the lake is nice to enjoy after coffee & cake in the cafe. This is a nice unique feature that makes it worth the visit!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends on Friday. Food was exceptionally hot a big plus for me & the chips were scrumptious. Very nice home cooked food with delicious pastry & good service. So nice to actually feel we had good value for money & an enjoyable experience. Often visit for coffee but will now be coming to eat.

We often go for a coffee with friends at the Waterside cafe. This time we went for some flowers for a funeral. Lucy was perfect. So helpful and understanding. She helped us choose and advised us on what would look right. A sensitive time handled well. Thanks.

Favourite place to buy house plants - they tend to have different ones each time you visit and the staff are always helpful with questions.

Nice place to visit its certainly getting a better with all the improvements that have been made. The restaurant in my opinion as made a big difference the food smells amazing. Going to give it a try next time we go back. There are toilets in a separate building to the right of the main entrance which are free. Plenty of car parking spaces but only a few disabled ones. A nice picnic area at the back not far from the restaurant which the children would enjoy.
