   Came here from New Zealand, a long way for a few pints I know right. From the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we left , the bar tender, Cat, made us very welcome and was absolutely brilliant!!! It’s so awesome to meet somebody who takes so much care in their job, whilst ensuring everyone has the best trip to your pub. Cheers Cat, what a total legend!!!

   I was finally able to come in and enjoy this wonderful place! I stayed for Quiz Night and had a blast. The staff are such lovely people but especially Kat who is attentive, very knowledgable and such a fun and pleasant personality. Definitely coming back!

   I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a perfect balance of elegance and comfort. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their service. The food was simply exceptional — every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.The ingredients were fresh and clearly of high quality, and you could tell that a lot of care went into every detail.

   Visited The Willow recently with a friend and was very impressed. Staff were nice and welcoming being friendly when speaking to them. It was a nice sunny day which really helped appreciate the atmosphere of the venue. The dirty fries were very tasty, they even customised it to put veggie haggis on the dish! Beware of the cajun fries as they really packed a punch. Food seemed reasonably priced for the quality and came out piping hot. Would recommend and will return there again!

   I’m not sure if the staff here have sales targets like in Clarks shoes but I was badgered repeatedly into whether I was going to buy another beer 3 separate times by different staff members before I’d even finished my first pint despite being the only person in there. Perhaps if all the decent overpriced beer wasn’t perpetually sold out and the place reliably void of atmosphere, people might order another round without the upselling. Will go elsewhere next time.

   Great night, came in for dinner and a few drinks. Ended up doing the Thursday night quiz! Challenged the brain cells and was a good laugh. Would definitely recommend a visit, food is good, staff are funny and the cocktails well made. This is a hidden gem.

   We'd been for a bracing Sunday walk along Gullane Beach and found every single eatery on the way back to Edinburgh full to capacity. Resigned to returning home hungry, we happened upon The Willow in Musselburgh. There were (strangely) no other customers and the young waitress was clearly pleased to see us. The food was just perfect, tasty and reasonably priced, while the service could not have been friendlier or more efficient. We'll definitely be back - with or without the bracing walk beforehand!

   Food was good but we had to wait nearly an hour for it in the early afternoon when it was quiet. If the service was quicker we may be tempted to come back especially for the food. However on this experience we won’t be back unfortunately.
