   Stopped into this restaurant as we were staying at the Ibis, and was hugely impressed. The premises are absolutely spotless top to bottom (bathroom check included!) and remarkably well presented. Started with a lovely greeting at the door, then shown to our table which was pleasantly spaced from other tables. We ordered starters, then steak pie and fish, both of which were very reasonably priced and cooked wonderfully. The fish batter was so incredibly light and clearly cooked in super clean oil, and the fish itself was succulent and perfectly cooked. Similar with the steak pie, with perfect pastry and amazing meat. My only observation was that seasoning was a bit lacking, but I don't mind that; it's much easier to season your own food to your taste than compete with a chef who no longer tastes pepper or spice! Our lovely Italian waiter was also super friendly and happy to have a short chat, and all staff were polite and well presented throughout. Overall a stunning restaurant and a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend stopping here whenever you can.....but advise booking ahead. Thanks for a great dinner Tom.

   The staff were friendly and polite. And the service was good . I got the fish and chips ..although it was listed as haddock i think this one identified as a gold fish as it was really small !!! My partner ordered gluten free mac and cheese it was really bland no taste to it whatsoever and was a waste of money . I informed the staff and they apologised and said they would remove the cost from the bill But when the bill arrived it was still on there So we just paid it and left .. Don't think we will be going back any time soon

   This was a first time visit and I absolutely adored it. We made an upfront reservation for 5 people and all 5 of us had a 3 course meal (starter, maind and desserrt). As you can see from the pictures everyone had a different meal. We all definitely enjoyed it. The Service was absolutely amazing and very helpful, if there were any questions from the fest. They were very organised as well and everyone was served their meal without waiting to much. I absolutely and highly cyan recommend that place :) and I hope that standard that they have, they'll keep it up that way. I can't wait to come back here, when I'm over for the next holiday again.

   I came here with my wife and we were both very impressed. The staff are friendly and professional. We both thought the food was exceptional, as was the coffee. We thought price was very reasonable given high quality. The background music was nice and not too loud. The tables are well spaced out and comfortable. Grounds are clean and attractive, with ample parking. I really wish we had tried this place earlier. We will definitely be back.

   First time visiting and we'll definitely be back. We'd planned on going to the pub next door but it was closed so gave Houstons a try and were very glad we did. We went for lunch with our 3 year old and newborn and the staff were lovely and welcoming. They had a great lunch menu, I'd been worried there wouldn't be many options as a non meat eater but there were plenty. I had soup of the day, Thai spiced sweet potato followed by chargrilled halloumi, both were delicious. OH had haggis starter and the Houstons burger and he enjoyed both. The food was really nice and the atmosphere pleasant, definitely visit if you can.

   Decent place, lovely friendly staff and great service. Food was great and everyone in our large family party was happy with the choices and the standard. I had the monkfish scampi and the NY deli style steak sandwich which were both delicious. The cheese cake for dessert was very light yet richly creamy. When leaving the owner took the time to see us out and ask us if we enjoyed ourselves. It was a nice touch and a pleasant end to our evening.
