We booked 2days previously by phone. On arrival our booked could be found. The duty barely apologise saying they were busy . We were served our drinks left for awhile then our order was taken. We waited a while for our starters which was fine they were lovely. Our main took long we had ask a member of staff. They arrived promptly which suggests they had forgotten about us . The christmas dinner were incomplete no roast potatoes or stuffing ,,they did bring some potatoes not roasted. No apologises very complacent. The service was disjointed mainly poor. We appreciated there was a large party in the restaurant but our service didnt improve once they were served. Other tables were filled and served prior to us. Would not recommend this restaurant.

We booked the big room upstairs (Antonine Suite) for my mother in laws 65th Birthday Party on Saturday and what a night we had. Firstly the events team there were brilliant in helping to organise the event. Really helpful and accommodating. They set up the room, organised the dj and all of additional touches we opted for, like LED dance floor, chair covers etc etc. On the night, the room looked superb, the ambient lights around the vaulted ceiling and twinkling lights hanging in front of the window created such a lovely atmosphere. Our guest were raving about the quality of the buffet, the food was delicious. A cracking spread of sandwiches plus lots of hot party foods, sausage rolls, pakora, fish goujons, mini pizzas etc. The dj provided by Eagle Lodge was brilliant, from golden oldies right through to Ibiza tunes and even a wee kids set in the middle with Hokey Cokey, Cha Cha Slide and Sodapop to name a few. The kids all had a great time. Peter the on-shift manager was a huge help on the night and the young bar staff on duty were all first class too. Very polite, friendly and hard working. The owner even popped his head in early on to wish the birthday girl a good night and make sure everything was going to plan. We all had such a great night, honestly if I could award MORE than 5 stars I would. Cannot fault it at all, from start to finish.

This is the first time we are here. I love the starters, high-qualities. My girl likes the home made pizza. The environment is very classy and cosy. We have had a great dinner and a good time there. We definitely will come back.

I've not been in a while, but my husband and I went for and amazing mother's day lunch with my 7th month old. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, and tasty menu. The service was nice a quick but we never felt rushed. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

A warm bright clean modern and very friendly conservatory style eateries. A decent menu, comfy seats and tables, spotless loos and attentive waiting staff. Obviously a popular spot for locals as it was well if not completely filled filled over a week day lunch time. It adjoins an indoor dining area for those who prefer that. I imagine it would be a choice venue for weddings and parties. I think it deserves to be well patronised. John Zab

We hired the function room for after a funeral on Tuesday. They only had 2 staff on for 100+ people. The bar was shut after just over and hour so these 2 staff could serve the food, it did no reopen. The buffet was set out after about 2&1/2 - 3 hours with freezing food, you could smash a window with the rock solid sausage rolls. We were then told we couldn't even use the downstairs bar to bring up drinks nor were we allowed to sit downstairs. I would highly recommend NEVER EVER booking anything in this place, it is a total joke.

Worst dining experience we have had. Service really poor and overcharging customers as they make parties over 10 people order from the celebration menu which works out more expensive than β€œa la carte” menu for the exact same food. Staff didn’t understand the concept of a surprise cake as they unwrapped the cake right in front of the recipient and proceeded to put 1 candle on it from full packet they were given and lit it when they put the cake in front of them. Was very awkward. Email of complaint was sent and no reply ever given. Disappointing as the food was actually not bad. Will never return though as seems a poorly run place.

Was a bit sceptical due to reviews. Had the Sunday lunch fixed menu & all 13 of us all enjoyed. Between us - fish was excellent, pasta a bit spicy but lovely, roast dinner was brilliant. Staff wonderful and this visit has restored confidence to visit again.
