After running my first marathon in April, I decided I wanted to explore trail running. Having only been out on trails with friends, I was a little anxious about joining a 'race' on my own, but I joined the Autumn trail half marathon and LOVED it! The group leaders were fun and knowledgeable, the views were gorgeous and the vibes were perfect. I started in a group that was just a little too fast for me and I was able to drop down to a different group with no fuss or worry. The aid station was really well stocked and full of vegan options, which is so rare! Their ethos "Exploring places not running races" is totally my vibe! I had such a good time and couldn't stop raving about it to my running friends. I'm hoping to join the trail marathon in April next year.

I joined Run the Wild’s Dolomites trip in September with my daughter and it was an unforgettable experience. Everything was brilliantly organised, with stunning routes, great hotels, and delicious food. Our guides, Simon and Bruno, were very knowledgeable, supportive, and full of enthusiasm. The sunrise run from the mountain refuge was a real highlight for my daughter. Highly recommend Run the Wild for anyone looking for a well-run and really memorable adventure!

Fantastic organisation! Me and my sister came to Run the Wild because we wanted to try trail running with some nice people. They did not disappoint! We got grouped up based on our pacing. We decided to go in the last group which meant we could enjoy the scenery, have a good chat while getting some good miles in (13.7 precisely!) Our group guide, Andy, was the perfect balance of friendly, supportive and encouraging. He taught us lots about the local area of the Chilterns and gave us some helpful tips for running up and down hills (no longer quite the enemy they were before). The check point had the most amazing spread of snacks and drinks! The route itself was beautifully scenic and varied - views for days and stunning woodland trails. All of the other staff we met were incredibly friendly. Their merch is all very high quality and beautifully designed. It's clearly a well organised event, super inclusive and really fun! If you're nervous about running in groups or long distances, you'll be in safe hands with Run the Wild. I just wish I lived closer or I'd be back sooner!

If you’re into trail running at any level and want to combine it with a holiday, then look no further than Run the Wild. I’m just back from the Dolomites and, like the Tour du Mont Blanc in 2023, every aspect of the week exceeded my expectations. Simply awesome scenery, supportive and highly professional guides, seamless logistics and above all, great fun! Don’t be concerned about whether you’re fit enough or whether you’ll fit in. Just book it - you won’t regret it! Thank you Simon, Karin and Bruno. I’ll be back!

I cannot recommend Run The Wild highly enough. I attended their Introduction to the Alps weekend in May 2025. Fantastic from start to finish. The location is stunning and the trip extremely well organised. What elevates them though is the calibre of the team - without exception the guides were knowledgeable, encouraging and full of tips. As a fairly casual runner, I wasn’t sure how I’d cope but it became clear very quickly that they would make sure that each and every one of us welcome and able to run at our pace, enjoy the stunning scenery, and have a wonderful experience.

A great introduction to navigation course with Simon - he’s a brilliant instructor who makes what can be quite technical concepts into accessible and usable skills.

I attended a Navigation Essentials course with Simon and can thoroughly recommend. I both enjoyed and learnt so much from the session and would certainly encourage others to do the same. Simon led a small group in a friendly and knowledgeable way and catered brilliantly to everyone's differing needs. Mix that with a great agenda, a gorgeous outdoors location to learn and practice and a café start point with some excellent coffee and its certainly a winner. A good refresher for me as I take on a trek later this year and certainly something I'm glad I did.

A fantastic fun and informative morning learning essential navigation skills. Before today I had no clue how to navigate off roads. The maps just made no sense to me. Today, after just a few hours of instruction from Simon, I feel a lot more confident. I still have to take today’s learnings and practice more and more in the wild to become really comfortable, but the whole thing no longer overwhelms me like it did before. Thank you Simon and Run the Wild!!

Karin has been so great as I had to get ready for my first Vietnam Mountain Marathon for Sep. Since I was back to UK for Summer holiday my husband found this company and It was my highlight of this Summer. Karin taught me how to conserve my energy when I’m on the mountain where so many runners are around. She also told me not only explaining these amazing skills to tackle the trails and hills but also gave me so much courage and support by physiological way towards running. She took me through interesting woods and field where I could catch so many stunning view and touch the history. She also checked my running form at length made me feel stay focused and she was really trying to help and engaging with me for my marathon. All the advice she gave me still stick in my mind so fresh and help making me believe that I can achieve this! It’s about 1 week to go until my first mountain marathon and I can’t thank her enough as well as can’t wait to run with her when I’m back!
