   I've been a customer for over 20 years, this was my childhood Chinese takeaway so I've always held a bias as Michaels Place was always my favourite, the chicken chow mein was always a highlight. I moved out of the area and recently returned after being away for a number of years. I visited the shop and picked up a chicken chow mein, excited wasn't the word. I got home and the nostalgic factor was gone, as was the taste, the noodles were like mush. Nothing tasted as it should have. As far as I'm aware, it's the same owners and the same recipe so why such a drastic change? I feel bad for saying it but I was hugely disappointed. I couldn't finish, more than half of it went in the bin. Due to my personal bias for this particular takeaway, I believe it deserves a second chance as maybe I caught them on an off night...maybe I'll come back and all will be fine...or maybe I'm just holding on to the nostalgic factor.

   Got a takeawy yesterday Wednesday 21st. We got salt & chilli wings which was nice and chicken fried rice which was either over cooked or reheated as is was too dark and did not taste right. So the chicken fried rice went in the bin as we could not eat it.

   Got Singapore Chow Mein, Chips and pan cake rolls. All in it was ok. Pancake rolls were nice, crisp. Chips fine and Singapore Chowmein had thin noodles, subtle bit of kick to it. Service good. Would possibly try again.

   Its not amazing but its definetly not awful. Food is mediocre compared to others. The ribs though are very good. Well worth a takeaway after a few drinks in the pub, but for a planned meal, maybe not. I would order from there again

   My favourite takeaway local without a doubt. I've never had a bad meal from here. very decent portions and good value for money. Salt n chilli chips are amazing. Only downside for me is no extra portion of satay sauce available. Otherwise no issues.

   This has been the best Chinese take away in Scotland for years... last few currys and orders have tasted different or the order was wrong. I ordered a beef curry and it had chicken and prawns in it. I really hope that it hasn't changed hands. Michael's place is the best Chinese take away you will find!
