   I was in Matalan Clydebank last Friday and have to say I was served by the most pleasant assistant I've come across in a very long time. The lady who served me was so helpful, friendly and professional. I did comment at the time how lovely she had been but I feel her manager should also know what a fantastic job this member of staff is doing and how much I appreciated her excellent customer service. I've checked my receipt and I was at till 2 and the ID No is 15, I hope this identifies the lovely lady who served me.

   I visited here the other day to buy a Secret Santa present for my sister-in-law, but not having much knowledge of female fashion (or fashion in general, for that matter!), I had to seek advice from a member of staff. The guy I spoke to was completely unhelpful and advised me "if it's not on the shelf, we don't have it", so I showed him a picture of the item and he advised me they were sold out and to try online or a different shop, as they don't have it. I then asked a different member of staff (an older woman), who was helpful and told me to try the larger store at Linwood. Not wanting to drive elsewhere, I tried looking one last time and found the pyjama set I was looking for, it was no longer at the lower reduced price, but I was happy to at least find something for the Secret Santa gift. Having found it, I tried looking for the unhelpful male member of staff to advise him they were in stock, but I couldn't locate him. Taking it to the till to pay, the member of staff there was also unfriendly and rude. I won't be back any time soon, unless I want a lesson in poor customer service skills (with the exception of the 1 member of staff). If that particular branch fails, they only have themselves to blame.

   The staff in this store are friendly and the prices are great. The only criticism I would have is that while there is a decent variety of stock, there often isn't much variety in the sizes available, with many items on the shelves size "small", but when you can find something larger, it's great quality at a decent price.
