Was holding on the phone with repeated recorded message as being 1st in the queue but no one answered, felt like in a que for utility companies, never ending wait

Absolutely terrible service! I would give 0 if I could! I was sent there to see thr pharmacist She was told busy chatting on the phone! She was aware I was waiting and rather than deal with me kept me waiting . The man behind counter couldn't tell me how long I have to wait! In the end I left ! Rubbish service from 111 and the pharmacist! I dont understand why I couldn't be seen by a GP in the hub!!!!

Mixed Experience – Poor Communication and Unprofessional Conduct This pharmacy is a mixed bag. While it’s essential to have access to it during out-of-hours emergencies, the service leaves a lot to be desired. On this occasion, I had sent my son to collect medication for my mother. As he wasn’t aware of the exact timing of her next appointment, he was only given one dose as it seemed too much and sent home. The prescription, however, clearly stated it was for six days. The next day, I went in to query this. The staff member who served me (female, black hair, glasses) was initially pleasant and said she would look into it. She returned saying the matter needed follow-up from the previous night, as they had been unable to get through to the dentist. I asked why they hadn’t taken my son’s or my contact details to follow up with us directly, and was told the locum pharmacist hadn’t followed proper procedures. I even overheard her calling the locum "stupid" to another staff member — completely inappropriate and unprofessional, especially within earshot of customers, behind the screen. Eventually, once the pharmacy was less busy, they contacted the dentist and confirmed the correct dosage. The issue was corrected, but the entire process took around 40–45 minutes. The pharmacy assistant who helped me was polite, helpful, and spoke to me with respect — the only positive part of the experience. Unfortunately, the original staff member became defensive when I attempted to offer constructive feedback, going so far as to say: "Your son was a bit clueless too, and you should have come yourself." That is completely unacceptable. Speaking about a customer or their family in that way is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the service. I didn’t want to escalate the situation at the time, but her attitude clearly showed a lack of basic customer service skills. Lastly, the pharmacist on duty (Simon) never came to speak with me directly, instead sending the assistant to relay information — again, not what I’d expect from a healthcare professional in charge. This isn't my regular pharmacy, but I’ve used it in emergencies. Sadly, the standard of service has clearly declined. Disappointed.

I received a missed call from the pharmacy and rang back straight away. I was on hold for 31 minutes. During that time, I was told I was number 3 in the queue, then 2, and finally that I was next to speak to someone—only to be suddenly cut off. Assuming it was an issue with my phone, I redialed and joined the queue again, only for the exact same thing to happen. I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback about this pharmacy, and now I understand why. Poor service, long wait times, and zero resolution. Avoid this place if you can.

This pharmacy decided to take my prescription and change where it is to be sent by my doctor so I had no idea where it was. When I finally found out, I went to collect it and advised that I do not appreciate them effectively ’stealing’ my repeat prescription without consent. I was told it can’t be done and was an issue with my doctor. I know that’s not the case but wasn’t met with an apology just more excuses. I would never use them again.

Can't recommend this place enough! Today went in to collect my mum's prescriptions and had a couple issues (due to my GP) but the staff(especially lady and man at the front) were incredibly patient and kind. Excellent customer service here!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I find this pharmacy brilliant. I can usually get really good advice here when I can't from other places. Respectful helpful service.

Excellent service, only waited 10/15 minutes for antibiotic prescription for my 22 month old grandson on a Sunday afternoon. What a relief after Tesco Purley were out of stock & Boots Valley Park Pharmacy were closed despite saying they were open on Google! Thank you Mayday Community Pharmacy.

The ABSOLUTE worst place I’ve ever had to deal with, they have 0 understanding of how to deal with an EMERGENCY, In all honesty they should be looked into because the lackadaisical approach they take to patient care is disgusting, I’ll never write a bad review but this place takes the cake for the worst pharmacy in London. Walked in there urgently needing medical equipment they sell on the shelves and even though I was frantically asking to pay for the item the two men behind the counter were more than happy to take their time and answer phone calls instead of simply processing my purchase. It was more than obvious that I was in a rush and in an emergency situation. Genuinely makes me feel sick that I put money in their pockets
