   This pharmacy is one of the best I have ever been to. They don't mind listening to your issue and give great advice. The pharmacists are super helpful. I once came in for a UTI and the pharmacist told me what to look for so that if it went to the kidney I would know to go to the hospital. That evening I started having a light fever and pain in my left side. I would NEVER have known that meant I had a kidney infection. Thanks to her I went to the hospital straightaway and my state worsened in literally a matter of hours. I got antibiotics before it got really bad and got better in a few days but my god, am I grateful for this pharmacist! Thanks so much.

   As many people have mentioned, we were charged for a prescription a much much higher price than you'd pay elsewhere. We were only told the price after the reference number were were given by our health provider had been used and therefore "invalidated". They are scamming people there especially with private prescriptions. avoid.

   I went to this pharmacy because it was the nearest to my work on Aldersgate St. I had a throbbing toe which was getting more painful by the minute and I wanted something to soothe the pain. When I entered the shop, the pharmacist asked how she could help me. I explained the situation and she wanted to see my toe. Upon inspection she said that it was infected and needed antibiotics. At no point did she try and sell me anything. Only good advice which I have heeded. In summary, they were friendly, knowledgeable and professional without any pressure selling. Will definitely use them for my medicines.

   Limited opening hours, only till 5:30pm weekdays. Staff at reception should take care not to repeat patients’ private details loudly, they can simply ask the patients to write it down on a piece of paper discretely. Many people nowadays want to keep their private info private.

   Perfectly fine if you're picking up a regular prescription. Have been using this pharmacy for 3 years and have no real issues that I'd not have experienced anywhere else too (talked a bit too loudly about a prescription once two years ago and was out of an antiseptic throat spray during a time where a LOT of people had sore throats). Staff are pleasant and haven't had them be rude to me once despite going 20+ times overall. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes sure, but it's central London...you do everywhere...

   I’m so puzzled by the negative reviews here. This is the best pharmacy I have ever used to the point that when my child was a baby and i was very I’ll, the pharmacist actually delivered my medicine to me by hand across the road. They are professional, kind, extremely knowledgeable and always ask how my children are. They get to know their customers personally and I continued to use the pharmacy even when I left the area. Such lovely people.

   I've been to this pharmacy a lot of times cause of the location convenience. But I decided to change my pharmacy because the staff are so rude and they loudly disclose your medication and name to people. My GP suggested I go to my pharmacist to get consultation for an alternative medication but knowing this pharmacy, I felt too stressed to go and talk to them because I know they can be rude & make you feel like you're bothering them by asking to do their job. Realising this, I've decided it's better to change pharmacies even though the closest one around is another 15 min walk.

   I hope you find this useful *Your private sensitive information gets broadcasted here* I went to this - S Chauhan Pharmacy - to buy something and left with lots of (uninvited) private sensitive information about another Person who was buying medicine at the till. The till was around 12 feet away, but the pharmacist announced loudly all the confidential information: full name, date of birth, medication, illness, previous illnesses – all! Pharmacist: What is your name. Patient (quietly): … (I could not hear them) Pharmacist repeating back (loudly): JOHN SMITH? (changed name for privacy) Patient: … Pharmacist: WHAT IS YOUR DATE OF BIRTH Patient (quietly): …(again I could not hear them) Pharmacist repeating back (loudly): 6 MAY 1987 (changed date for privacy) … Pharmacist (loudly): YOU HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED …… - DO YOU HAVE 'SYPHILIS'? … (continued) The patient’s face went completely bright red, that it felt awkward. I just left – it did not seem right to hear any more. Don’t pharmacists have a duty to protect patients’ privacy? Where can they be reported for this? From a quick search: Duty of confidentiality 2.1. Pharmacy professionals have a professional and legal duty to keep confidential the information they obtain during the course of their professional practice Confidential information includes: • electronic and hard copy data • personal details • information about a person’s medication (prescribed and non-prescribed) • other information about a person’s medical history, treatment or care that could identify them, and • information that people share that is not strictly medical in nature, but that the person disclosing it would expect to be kept confidential

   I never write reviews but I feel I need to warn people about this place as it should be avoided. There are much better pharmacies in the area with much better service and stock. Unfortunately my GP sent a prescription to this pharmacy on Friday, I rushed from work in order to pick up my urgent medication prescription as I noticed this pharmacy is closed during weekends. I arrived exactly at 5.26pm, 4 minutes before the official closing time and found a woman and a man locking up the door. As I asked if I could still get my medicine I was given a nonchalant "come on Monday". I understand people want to have a weekend off but then they should advertise their closing times accordingly. I don't think it's ok to put people through stress and disregard for their health. In my point of view this goes against ethics of any pharmacist. Needless to say I will definitely change my nominated pharmacy and go elsewhere. Not only did they close early but had total disregard for my situation.
