Oh my goodness. What a hassle. Howdens say any problems with installation you have to deal with your joiner. We have nothing but trouble with ours. Appalling customer service. We are going direct to Howdens now and then Furniture Ombudsman

Had a kitchen installed from this outlet Quality of units is fine. We also had a new floor installed. It is eight months since it was fitted and it has caused many problems. We have tried to get someone out to look at it. Despite many phone calls we are still no further forward. Update - in spite of numerous phone calls to them, no one got back to us. We ended up getting it repaired by someone else. I wish we could give a "no star" rating for this company.

I've recently be into Howden's to discuss new fronts, bunkers and whether or not reinstating oven housing would solve an issue with heat from the cooker causing the door wrapping to warp (it will). I was advised by Mike Toynton, a recently-retired joiner with a very successful business career. Discussing the job with Mike was absolutely invaluable. He pointed things out and made suggestions and went through all the stages with me. He showed me the differences between the various ranges of fronts and saved me money by pointing out I only needed a 600mm bunker depth and not the 616mm depth of the bunkerId initially chosen. If he'd still been a joiner, I would have booked him there and then. So, I highly recommend going into Howden's and asking for Mike. The other staff at Howden's Dunfermline are also incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, but being able to speak to someone with years of joinery experience is invaluable.

Had 3 quotes for a new kitchen / Diner, however Howdens were the best, hands down. Mike, who is an ex joiner came and measured our current kitchen and done the most amazing and attentive job. We then visited the showroom and were given a presentation showing what the new kitchen will look like. Still awaiting the kitchen to be supplied and fitted, however if the attention to detail is anything like the service we received from Mike then we're onto a winner.

Despite exceptional service from Ben, our overall experience with Howdens is disappointing. Price match cannot be trusted and failure to call back when requested a further disappointment. Howdens inaction resulted in us going elsewhere for splashback which was requested and probably paid for. Lack of paperwork resulted in confusion. Returns policy abysmal. If I knew then what I know now, I would have gone elsewhere.
