Note this is now a Lloyds Pharmacy. And it's probably the worst pharmacy I've been to in the UK. Angry shouting from patients waiting forever for their meds. A highly unpleasant atmosphere for both patients and staff I appreciate that this place has to deal with a very high volume at Lewisham Hospital, but there's no logical waiting or queuing system - and this could be easily fixed. When you give up your prescription they give you a slip and a number. Yet there is no display anywhere showing which number is ready. So you are met with loads of people milling around with nowhere near enough chairs. Please Lloyds Pharmacy, make a small investment and buy a screen where people can see their number when it's ready.

The worst service I have experienced. I am just wondering are they so bored and they cannot do their job properly? I am 8 months pregnant and I spent one hour on the traffic in the bus trying to get here to finally receive my prescription which is very important and guess what… THEY DID NOT HAVE IT!!!!! I am desperate and I need it that much that I have to go and buy it from another pharmacy… if they were not a hospital pharmacy I bet they would be closed now… they are awful!

This has to be the most impacted chemist in South London. The hospital by default sends all prescriptions here, so given the scale of the hospital, you'd think there would be a big pharmacy inside, but no - instead you have this tiny window with like 3 employees and no chance they can keep up with the daily volume of demand. I give them 2 stars because they are clearly trying their best, they are just set up to fail by virtue of their tiny size inside of a giant hospital. You'd think someone would do something about this imbalance, but it doesn't seem to have been addressed yet. If you get anything prescribed by the hospital, unless you're planning to be there for hours anyway, do yourself a favour and have them send your prescription elsewhere.

No system whatsoever - they left my pregnant partner stood for nearly 2 hours while they repeatedly fobbed us off saying the prescription is coming. Only way to get them to deal with you is to stand at the counter. Not an issue with understaffing as they were all just milling around in complete chaos, no prescriptions being issued.

This is the worst Pharmacy - it serves the busy hospital out-patients and they have one person serving customers one by one so when they go to check if they have a medication, the till is unattended. Therefore a long queue forms that exits the shop into the waiting area. The automated number system has been broken for weeks so the Pharmacist stops serving to come out into the waiting room in the hospital. It takes about 2 hours to get routine medications and they told me they didn’t have my insulin until my doctor came down and argued with them. Boots clearly have an unbreakable contract with Lewisham Hospital or this outfit would have been condemned. There is clearly a management problem here in that they probably don’t have one. Boots please fix this shocker.

Before I rated Boots pharmacy in Lewisham Hospital I read the previous reviews. Until recently I would have agreed with the negative comments made, as I myself have faced similar issues with the staff their poor customer service, the waiting time... The list could go on. After I made my last complaint regarding the issues I had experienced, I was called for the first time by the new manager who I must say has and still in progress of improving the system, improved waiting time and customer service. I have to go regularly to the hospital and I used to dread going to collect a prescription. But since the new management I have truly seen an improvement in all areas previously mentioned. I hope they keep the new management and the improvements continue so all the patients using the service will have a better experience like me. Management keep up the good work.

I honestly think that one star is too much for this pharmacy. The staff are clearly so done with their jobs and the demands put on them, that the exasperation of the patients that queue for hours to speak to someone and then wait for hours for their prescriptions, is just disregarded because it is so common. So many patients are then told that the pharmacy doesn't have everything in stock, or that they'll get a phone call to come back at another time (the phone calls never happen, and good luck trying to get hold of anyone that works here on the phone). The hours of my life I've wasted, sat waiting for a prescription only to be fobbed off and made to feel insignificant. The stress knowing that I'll have to come back here and do this all over again, still with no guarantee that I'll be able to get the medication I need. Boots and Lewisham hospital need to do better. The current system is a shambles and you owe your patients, and staff more than this.

Impossible to collect your prescription within a sufficient amount of waiting time - you really need to take half a day off from work! I was told to wait in the ridiculously long queue just so I can pick up a ticket?! Then after I have collected my ticket, I then had to wait another two hours for my prescription to be ready - omg this really is a joke! Very poorly mannered staff & organisation. I also tried calling Boots Lewisham pharmacy numerous times a day, everyday for over a week to see if my prescription was ready before I waited in this ridiculous long queue for no reason - only for NO ANSWER each time I called - I gave up after constantly ringing! * I would give 0 stars if I could - AVOID *

Came into the Pharmacy today as my mum had major surgery and needed her prescriptions before going home. The nurses had sent the prescription down prior to me arriving (4pm). When I asked the woman at the front of her prescription was ready she couldn’t find any record of her in their system. She proceeded to vanish for 10 minutes until she came out and said the script was only just given in 20 minutes ago. When I said that was impossible, since I had been there for 30 minutes at that point and it was dropped off at least an hour before I came, one of the women proceeded to shout at me in front of the room. Best to say I was not happy, my mum had to send down the nurse who put her script in to speak to the woman. We are lucky enough that my mum works at this hospital, so I can’t imagine how bad it is for people who don’t have that luxury. I had been standing with people who had waited 4 hours.

I have always had a great experience here, and have no complaints. Maybe it's because i work in health care myself but i would rather wait longer than getting a prescription that was wrong due to a doctor's error. The 15 mins waiting time is an unrealistic expectation and i think they need to change that because it puts a lot of pressure on the staffs who are overworked whenever i go there. If the pharmacist behind hasn't checked my prescription over properly i would have been given the wrong dose by the prescribing doctors in A&E. I cannot thank them enough for spotting the error.
