   The duty Pharmacist on Sunday 5th March 2023 at 20:45 did not understand how to use the EMERGENCY 111 prescription service. Refused to issue my emergency prescription, instead bouncing me back to my doctor the next day after I used the NHS 111 Emergency prescription service to get a medicine I am regularly prescribed and have been for more than 10 years. The duty pharmacist refused on the basis it is not a repeat prescription - which it does not have to be to be prescribed using the Emergency prescription service - it 'must be a medicine you are prescribed regularly, *usually* through a repeat prescription.' Lack of knowledge of emergency prescription protocols is a serious defect for a pharmacist and puts the community at serious risk. This place should be shut down until their pharmacists receive proper training on how to prescribe in emergencies. Terrible lack of competence that could lead to someone's death.

   I won't use any other chemist after the help and advice I received here on New Years Day after taking my son, who was seriously unwell. Out of the few chemists in the area who were open on New Years day Alpharm were also the only chemist who had the medication my son needed.

   This has been my pharmacy for many years. One very good attribute that places it above its competitors is late opening hours - the pharmacy opens till 12midnight on weekends. You also get quality support from member of staff. The pharmacists are awesome and very professional. This pharmacy comes highly recommended. If you live local, it would definitely be your best bet.

   Friendly and helpful staff and extended hours. Range of products on shelves is a bit limited due to size of shop, but that's of less concern than the attitude of the people, which I have always found to be positive. They're my choice and will stay that way.
