After 3 attempts to get my prescription over 3 separate days given a different one after queuing behind 15 others. Now without my medication and will have to go again and miss an important appointment. No point in being angry or demanding as they just look at you and say it’s the doctors fault not theirs. Awful don’t care attitude. Tried the phone which just rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and rings. So upsetting.

Their service is atrocious. Since they took over their queues are a minimum 15 people and always short staff, waiting a minimum 30 minutes. I called one day 28 times before someone answered the phone. I went to collect my prescription and was told they need a 3 day turn around but I have gone after 6 days twice and my medications were not there. While I am in the queue other people are complaining of their bad experiences. I have decided to move Chemist after 6 or 7 years.

SO SO BAD. I went in today with an excruciating sore throat like I’ve never had before and suggested that it’s probably strep throat. The pharmacist refused to give me antibiotics because ‘I don’t have tonsils’ despite it being common knowledge that you can have strep throat without tonsils, and without even speaking to me about my symptoms or looking at my throat. I then went to Boots pharmacy in West Malling where the pharmacist was lovely, asked about my symptoms, looked at my throat and gave me antibiotics, confirming it is strep throat. I had an even worse experience a month ago when I went in with a 111 emergency prescription. I have used the 111 service before at a different pharmacy with no issue. I had run out of sertraline and the doctors was closed, so I used the 111 service and went in with this prescription, to be told it had expired (apparently you have to collect it the same day you request it which is not possible as it was closed on the Sunday). I hadn’t had it in a few days at this point and had withdrawal symptoms. I was told if I re-requested it through 111, they would be able to give me the tablets as soon as I had done that. I don’t understand the need for this when they could clearly see the prescription from the day before and that I just hadn’t collected it yet, but I re-requested and went back in. I was then told I needed to speak to the pharmacist first (I’ve never had to do this before, they usually just give it to you). His attitude was appalling, he was so unhelpful and had no empathy. He said I couldn’t have them because he couldn’t see that I’d been prescribed them before, I told him well I can see that I’ve been prescribed them on my NHS app. He said ‘that’s irrelevant, I can’t see it on my computer’. I said how am I supposed to get them then and he said I don’t know. He was smirking throughout this interaction and it was as if he was never going to give them to me to begin with regardless of whether he could see I had had them before. I decided to ring my doctors and see if they could send through the emergency prescription. I went back in to the pharmacy and asked the lady on the desk to ring me when it came through, when I explained she checked her system and said that she could see I have it on repeat prescription and seemed surprised when I said the pharmacist had refused. An hour later I saw I had a missed call from the pharmacy, tried to ring back but no answer, so I went up assuming it was ready to collect. It wasn’t ready but they gave me two tablets as an emergency supply whilst I waited for the full prescription to come the next day. Surely they wouldn’t even give me two if I wasn’t prescribed this medication so I don’t understand why they didn’t just give me the 28 tablets that it was clear I took regularly. I had to pay £9 for two singular tablets! I went in the next day to collect the full prescription, the man on the desk said it had been sent through to ‘pharmacy 2 u’ (a delivery service that I’d never used before) - this error was my doctor’s fault as I specified which pharmacy it needed to be sent to. The man in the pharmacy said he could see the prescription, but I needed to ring pharmacy 2 u to get them to release it back into the spine so they could download it and give it to me. This just seemed absurd when the pharmacy knew I hadn’t had the tablets in a few days now, and at this point they could clearly see I had been prescribed before so they could have just acted on the emergency prescription because the issue there was that the pharmacist claimed I hadn’t had the tablets before?!?! I called pharmacy 2 u, no answer, so I asked the doctors to resend the prescription to the correct pharmacy. I didn’t get the tablets until the next day, and I had to pay another £9. It was just shocking. The people on the desk serving customers are ok, I think it’s the pharmacist who is the issue - he is absolutely awful - careless, rude, arrogant.

went to give a bad review but there are so many already so idk if theres any point. i went to get the pill and the doctor which saw me knew i had never gotten it and was unsure of which one to take, as i was told the day before they were going to run through with me the different kinds of pills, what they do, why i need it, etc. this man used a buzz feed quiz to find out which pill i should take when i asked him what the differences between them were. he also didnt ask anything about my cycle, my reason for taking the pill, or my period in general at all. maybe its because hes a man i dont know, but even so im not happy with this service

Horrendous experience, staff managed to lose my prescriptions then accused me of lying and said I could only get them if I paid when I have an exemption, never using them ever again

Unfortunately the same experience as everyone else. Shocking service and rude staff. Even buying over the counter medicines is difficult. Try and avoid if you can.

Shocking service, rude and very unpleasant staff, which seems from other reviews to be a common occurance! Steer clear!

They open and close as they please. The staff are rude and unsympathetic. I feel like someone should explain that they're a chemist, not a souvenir shop.

Just experienced the service in the pharmacy - what service!! Took in prescription yesterday and picked up today which then took them 10 minutes to find although I couldn't see any evidence of anyone looking for it. I asked why I had been waiting for 10 mins just to pick up a prescription and the lady was rude in saying that they are doing it now. Bizarrely it was found straight away after having to complain and it was done yesterday. The question is would I still be waiting if I hadn't queried why it's taking so long??
