   Very disappointed to be turned away from The Big Jug Durham today at 3pm with my 3 year old son, apparently no kids are allowed now? No prior warning, no signs up, no announcements on social media pages etc we’ve been regulars for a long time without any issues, we live nearby, our child has always been very well behaved. My son is very upset about this, he’s done nothing wrong, this pub is usually very quiet hence our reason for visiting.

   Have just completed the Innside Knowledge course it was both beneficial and enjoyable. Most certainly it exceeded my initial expectations. The two gentlemen who presented the course were absolute “stars”they were appropriate, engaging, involving and made the whole learning process a pleasure.

   A company that claims to be about values and integrity, but throws out a family that has been the heartbeat of a community for 19 years running the best pub in North London whist bringing their wonderful children up. Shame on you Star pubs & Bars, the way you have treated Raymond and Tracey Bells family is appalling!! See the error of your ways and U-Turn this heartbreaking decision.

   A few weeks ago, I have tried to take over a pub under the Star Pubs & Bars agreement. Was not the best experience at all. Firstly, I have to say that both, me and my partner we have strong background in this industry. However, I have followed the requirements for meeting the GM. We spent 2 hours and in the end I found out nothing important for us to go into the pub. Secondly, there are many hidden aspects which were not discussed during the meeting. None of the estimated costs are real. Moreover, from minimal estimation cost to total estimation cost is a huge "gap" (extra cost). When I have asked what that extra cost means, the GM does not know to explain... Negociatin⁉️ is something impossible, and examples can go on. In conclusion, I do recommend to anyone who want to go into this business to pay deeply attention, otherwise stay away from this kind of business. Especially now when the situation duo to covid is unsure. Thank you for reading my feedback.
