Excellent British airways Galeries Business and first class lounge. Very nice and quiet. Well maintained. Large spacious hall. Nice view of the runway. Wide chose of wines, spirits and soft drinks. Delicious breakfast. Absolutely recommend visiting this lounge while you waiting for your flight.

I was disappointed by the BA First Class lounge in LHR Terminal 3. It looks nothing like what a premium lounge should be. There was essentially no staff presence inside, and the space felt neglected. Many used plates and tableware were left scattered on tables for long stretches with no one maintaining or cleaning the area. For a first class lounge, this level of service and cleanliness is unacceptable.

The lounge offers a comfortable space but falls short of the premium experience expected from a first-class facility. Compared to top airlines like Emirates, Qatar Airways, or Singapore Airlines, the overall offering feels quite basic. The food options are limited, with only a small selection of hot dishes and snacks, and the beverage variety could definitely be better for a first-class lounge. Seating areas tend to get crowded during peak hours, and finding a quiet spot can be difficult. While the staff are polite and service is decent, the lounge lacks that luxury touch and attention to detail seen in other leading international lounges. Overall, it’s an average experience for a first-class lounge, with room for significant improvement.

Tucked within Heathrow Terminal 5 lies the British Airways Galleries First Lounge, a sanctuary designed not for all first-class travelers—but rather, for the elite tier of loyalty: oneworld Emerald members and select partner airline first-class passengers. For those who know how to find it, especially through the First Wing, the journey begins with an almost surreal ease—dedicated check-in, swift security, and lounge access in under ten minutes. For weary travelers navigating the chaos of one of the world’s busiest airports, this seamless entry sets the tone for a premium—if imperfect—experience. Step inside, and the lounge greets you with floor-to-ceiling views of the runway, elegant if aging interiors, and a mixture of seating zones to suit solo travelers and groups alike. Yet, despite its polished veneer, the cracks begin to show: the spa is permanently closed, restrooms feel dated, and sleep pods, while innovative in theory, fail in execution. During peak hours, the lounge’s popularity becomes its downfall—finding a seat can feel like a game of musical chairs. But during the quieter twilight hours, there’s peace to be found, with a drink in hand and jets silently drifting past the windows. The culinary experience offers a respectable spread—buffet stations boasting everything from English breakfasts to hearty curries and Jude’s ice cream. Drinks, however, are where the lounge earns back points: English sparkling wines, premium spirits, and pre-mixed cocktails are available through QR code ordering, though the once-offered hot food table service is now a relic of pre-pandemic times. It’s a space that delivers well—but rarely dazzles. We observed there is an imbalance in the lounge’s philosophy. It caters more generously to high-status economy flyers than to actual fare-paying premium passengers—a reflection of BA’s status-first, class-second model. And while the Galleries First Lounge outperforms the standard Galleries Club lounges in size and drink options, it falls short of true first-class standards set by global rivals like Qantas or Cathay Pacific. So, is it worth it? For an Emerald-status traveler flying coach, absolutely—access to the First Wing alone is a game-changer. But for those expecting a first-class marvel, this lounge is more enhanced business class than luxurious escape. The smart traveler arrives early, uses the First Wing, grabs a glass of Hattingley fizz, and keeps their expectations in check.

Great lounge, neat and clean, helpful staff and good ambience. Unfortunately at the b’fast bar scramble egg dish was not hot enough and not even lukewarm. The sausages, bacon, and hash potatoes all not even lukewarm but cold! However, there was excellent choice of drinks, coffee, tea and other beverages. The bar has a great choice and variety of drinks.

Dated with no real atmosphere, starting to show its age a little. Poor wifi speed and due to the lack of people the food isn't as fresh as is could be. BA should really take a leaf out of Cathay business lounge in HK for a lounge that has thats a pleasure to be in.

My husband is gold member. When we were last time flying as a whole family (13th December) a receptionist lady at this lounge quite rudely said the can’t allow our kids in. I find it utterly ridiculous we were not able to enter with 3 kids. She said” if you had a one kid maybe but you have “ looking at my kids..”2,3”. I found it very impolite and unprofessional. Very disappointed with BA policy that is discriminating families. What is the point than having gold membership. I think I am going to do my research and look at other big airlines’ benefits.

Awful lounge. Tables were overloaded with debris and dirty glasses/crockery. Food selection was poor. The lounge is very dated and not particularly clean. A lack of power points around seating area is a nuisance. We did witness one member of staff pushing an empty trolley around. We assumed she was going to clear tables but, nope, she continued to walk back and forward but doing very little. Compared with the very modern, clean facilities at JFK, I found Heathrow very disappointing.

Worn out and not that clean. Food offering was not bad, but far from what I’d expect in first class. I’ve been to many domestic businesses class lounges that make this one look second grade. The lady at the reception was super friendly, but the staff inside are almost non-existent. Tables are left dirty from previous travelers. With little to no cleaning done whilst I’ve been here for the last two or so hours. Customers are helping themselves at the bar because there are no bartenders… unbelievable.
