These guys are honest, reliable and friendly. I have 3yrs free service and mot from Arnold Clark but still choose to drive from East Lothian past several garages to get to Thistle Autos to pay for their expertise. I've used Thistle Autos for my last two MOTs and I couldn't rate them any more highly. - very easy to deal with - work done consistently to a high standard - excellent value for money - speedy And importantly, their communications are really good too. They explain any issues/options clearly and honestly which is really something you appreciate when your vehicle is getting on a bit, like mine! What all this does is, it builds trust, and that's why I'll keep going back.
Excellent place for MOT or repairs with very reasonable prices. I think we used them for years when they were in Easter Road by the B&Q which is now a Lidl. Happy to have found them again. Easy to bus to as they are right around the corner from several bus lines if you need to leave the car there. Nice people.

I use this place always for my MOT as so far the only garage I feel I would genuinely trust. They are honest, thorough, speedy and all round a great garage. I made the mistake though of using Halfords (McConechys) to replace to front tyres. After a year of constant pressure dropping in one of them, 3 wasted days and poor customer service. I went to Thistle they fixed it within the hour and didn't charge me. I can't recommend this place any higher. It deserves more than 5 stars.
My car needed an MOT and I got booked in easily. They did all of the necessary work quickly and kept me up to date along the way so I knew when my car would be ready for collection. Great price, great work and great service! Thanks guys :-)
