Vodka cranberry single shot was £10!!! Would really not recommend it, unless uou are sober. They give you free tab water though.
Was there to support a friends DJ set which was great!! I wasn’t a fan of the fact that a single spirit and mixer was £10 GREAT BRITISH POUND!!! You’re out of your mind if you think that it is acceptable for a dingy basement bar in Stoke Newington. But the kicker was one of there bartenders was a total pervert who thought it was ok to follow girls into the female bathroom and offer them drugs and to try and take advantage of them!!! He tried to do this to many women during the night including one of my friends, she was totally distraught by what happened and I’m honestly disgusted that this is the type of person the venue would hire, I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time he’s done this to women that come in and it won’t be the last. When my male friends tried to confront him for being a total scumbag after the venue had closed he got into a cab and ran away…. He was a tall white guy in a beanie with long hair and brown leather jacket, sort it out Bar a bar, even though your bartenders are there to serve drinks they are also supposed to keep their guests safe, instead you have a predator behind your bar preying on drunk women. It’s disgusting and the police will be reported about this man and this venue. I will never be stepping foot back into this venue if this is the type of people you have working here. You have predatory bar members, overpriced alcohol and a security that do absolutely nothing, WOMEN STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, PROMOTERS DON’T WASTE TOUR TIME COMING HERE ITS NOT A SAFE SPACE!!!!
All the staff were very professional and nice, except for the security guard at the entrance(on 10 Oct), who gave me an extremely unpleasant experience. When I was about to step outside for a smoke with my drink in hand, the male security guard at the door rudely shouted at me in a commanding tone, telling me I couldn’t take my drink outside. I said that’s fine, no problem, but you could’ve spoken with a bit manner. You simply shouldn’t yell at a woman like that. I then left my cup on the small counter by the stairs inside the door. But when I went back to get it later, I found a chewed piece of gum inside my cup. That’s absolutely disgusting. This isn’t just about being rude, it shows a really dark and nasty side of someone’s character. Be careful with people like this. The security guard man here isn’t protecting anyone’s safety—you never know what they might do behind your back. I won’t be coming back unless that person is no longer working there.
I played a gig here recently and I have to say, amazing venue and the staff are fantastic, I highly recommend this venue!!
