A cracking find here and love the place I had the eggs royale and the poached eggs were perfect with a lovely rich yoke. The accompanying salad was just right with a slight dressing drizzle. We also had the pancakes which were also done just right Will definitely call back in next time we’re passing
1st time trying here. The food was delicious, they met my lactose intolerant needs I've been back since as the food and staff were mire than what I expected .
I’ve visited Lona Cafe a few times now and would say the experience is mixed. The full breakfast is decent and the rolls are fine, and the decor and service are both good – friendly staff and a nice enough setting. That said, I can’t help but feel many of the items are overpriced for the quality on offer. The food isn’t bad, but it doesn’t quite justify the higher prices compared to other options nearby. especially when part of the dishes taste microwaved. Every time I pass, there are either no customers or only a couple inside, which probably says something about the balance between price and quality. If the cafe improved consistency and offered better value for money, I think they’d be much busier. Right now, it’s okay for the odd visit but not somewhere I’d go regularly.
Great coffee, great chicken and rice soup and the best BLT I can recall! Well decorated and clean, with friendly owner/chef and staff and reasonably priced menu, it is an Ideal destination for a lunch.
Anytime I'm at Hampden I always stop in for a Latte & watch the crowds go by, it's a little oasis in a storm. Staff are lovely & table service is offered when your sitting. My latte was £2.50, I think that's fine. Pastrami on Foccaca was £8 50
Delicious breakfast and delivered fast. On a Saturday it can be hard to find a nice full Scottish breakfast after 12. Luckily I found Lonna Caffe on Deliveroo on the south side of Glasgow. I ordered a drink and the full breakfast and everything was cooked well and very tasty. Very fast delivery too. This may be my new favourite cafe for breakfast!! 5* P.s they even let me swap the black pudding for a Potato scone, they clearly care about their customers and business.
After our 1st visit we were keen to return. Food and service both fine but coffee was not nice and not a flat white. Weak coffee. Hot chocolate looked like dishwater and sadly didn't taste any chocolate. Carrot cake had what looked like a bite out of it. Customer next to me's observation. Sadly won't rush back as I'm a huge coffee fan and this wasn't nice
Great cafe in Mount Florida. Been a few times for breakfast of a Mortons roll and square sausage. Pancakes are great too. Food is good value. Lovely and clean and the staff are very nice too.
