Honestly the worst place I have ever gone for lunch. The young girl who originally took our order didn't seem to know if it was Tuesday or Sheffield Wednesday. She forgot ALL the drinks for not only us, but the two tables next to us. The cheese and bacon burger was the stuff of nightmares, think 90s burger van, thin, tasteless and doubtful what meat, if any was in there. Must have been around 10 chips served with it and a teaspoon of coleslaw (see pictures). Absolute bedlam when delivering food as they have no idea which table has ordered what. Why not have numbers on the table? The place also feels dirty, toilets minging and all staff seemed to have an attitude. Not one greeted, asked about our food or said goodbye. Absolutely awful place, would never return.

Really expensive for a baked potato - not enough tuna to go with the potato. The biggest joke was the "salad" (in photo). Pathetic Went to the toilet and they were storing around 150 cartons of "ice cream mix" in the toilets. I could barely get the door open or reach over to wash my hands. Really weird Milk shake came and it was just milk with blobs of strawberry ice cream thrown in and not blended. It wasn't even up to the top of the glass which is shocking for the price It's a shame as there is so much potential with it being in such a lovely park

I went in for tea and a cake at 3.30 pm today - Monday the 16th of June and was told they were closing - could give me items to take away but not sit in .I said that I thought they were open till 4.00 pm and the person serving me said they were closing early because they had no customers. There were 2 ladies in front of me who had to get take aways like us and behind me a group of 4 came in and as we were leaving another group of 4 were just coming in. So unfortunate!

Id give this zero if I could. Went today and asked for a sandwich to take away. Was told I had to go into the cafe to order, which I did and was allowed to take it away....seems weird. I ordered a ham sandwich and also a fairy cake for my wee boy. He decided to keep the fairy cake until we got home. I just went to give him it for his pudding and there was a dead bug on the paper casing, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and thought surely not, maybe it's a flax seed or something....while examining this thing, when I looked at my son's high chair tray, there was another one wiggling it's way across the tray. The cake went swiftly in the bin, thankfully he hadnt eaten any. I pulled the cake apart to check for more and the cake was stale and hard, it had obviously been there for days. Poor customer service is one thing but to have bugs in your fairy cake.....that's next level. Absolutely disgusting and will never be back!

Incredible attention to the public, rarely do you find a place where they take care of you so well, I ate the Scottish breakfast.

High priced low quality food. Waited outside at the window to be served, was told ice cream machine wasn't working to come inside to be served. Same member of staff asked me what I wanted, meanwhile, another customer came up and said she was waiting to be served and that others where being served before her. However, customer didn't know that I had been waiting for sometime outside to be served. Staff member left me to serve this woman. I walked out with my child, the woman said "that woman has walked out". So embarrassing. My daughter started crying for ice cream so I had to got back. Charged £3 for one scoop of ice cream in a tub. Rip off, and won't be back!

From my experience this cafe is not dog friendly. Yes there were 3 tables outside with 4 chairs between them where you could sit with your dog however these were taken up by non dog owners, no issue with this, but when I asked the lady behind the counter if dogs were allowed inside I was met with a very grumpy “no dogs in here, mouth full as she munched on her scone. A little bit of good manner would have went along way. Won’t try again

Breakfasts are really good, lovely poached eggs. Knocked a star off for the times I’d no cash so couldn’t dine

Really wanted to like this place because the park is lovely but honestly, the service is shambolic. It’s midweek and the service is so slow, I can’t imagine how long it takes to get served at a weekend. Apparently the card machine isn’t working but no way of knowing that until you’re at the front of the queue after waiting 20 minutes? Good thing we had some cash. Ordered a roll and found out 10 minutes later that they’re not actually doing rolls. Got probably the worst flat white I’ve ever seen - it looks more like a cup of tea. So watery and it’s far too hot. It’s almost like boiling water with a tiny bit of milk, more like an Americano. Come on guys, this is basic stuff for people running a cafe - won’t be back!
