Came in for a trim and layers with chest length hair. The photo I showed has roughly the same length as I did but Bo bit off 4/5 inches off and now I have a bob I can’t even tie up which is not what I wanted.
Have been here a few times to straighten my hair, and have had positive results/ experiences throughout. It was also nice that I could order in takeaway food whilst getting my hair done during those long hours.
The actual haircut part was just okay, but I found this toilet sign incredibly bad taste and unsettling. There was just one toilet for all customers and staff to use and as a female customer I felt troubled by the choice of this sign. This is not funny and frankly hinting at sexual harassment which, considering the various molka and harassment cases in East Asia in the last decade, is inappropriate (to say the least) and disrespectful to female customers and staff. I would strongly suggest the owner to take off this sign.
I had gel extensions done here, which were okay. Nice clean environment and friendly staff. Slightly uneven filing but I can live with that. 6 days later the thumb fell off while I was walking to work., but they fix that for free.
I had been to Kami for getting my nails done and had a not so great experience. So I had acrylic nails which I wanted to be removed first. But the nail artist started blabbering in her language and then told me that they only do gel nails. Still she started to do my nails and without removing the coating she charged for ful amount of acrylic nail removal. I guess they need to be better in conveying what they can do and what not. If they can’t do it they should be clear about it in beginning.
I had a permanent wave digital perm done at Kami's in February and what can I say? The staff was lovely and the perm was (is) amazing. 6 months later I still have all the curls! Can't wait to be back in Edinburgh to make an appointment again ✨
