   I booked in for a model appointment for a bouncy blow dry. Libby who did it was fantastic, she was very pleasant and chatty along with doing a fabulous job of my hair - next day it’s still super bouncy, fresh & shiny. I know Libby is looking forward to moving onto cutting and I can’t wait to book in with her again. I think she’ll be a real asset to chapter one.

   A constant turnover of unhappy, poorly treated staff and customers getting fed up with the obligatory annual price increase of 5%, regardless if it is warranted or not. It’s almost become a ridiculous situation where you should feel privileged to have your hair treated there and pay over the odds for the honour. Greed.

   I went to chapter 1 last year. I originally wasn't going to review as, essentially they did do their job. However, I had put a message on the site when making the appointment that I have severe anxiety, aswell as being neurodiverse, and would like to not be facing a mirror for my cut. This wasn't either read or respected, im not sure which. I struggle to self advocate in person so I was really hoping that adding it online, highlighting my anxiety, where it should have been read, would help with that. I will say, the wash was lovely and they walked me through each product they were using. The cut was fine. But the experience was incredibly uncomfortable as I was facing a mirror for all but the wash. I hope by sharing this, comments made when booking are read and respected, even if they aren't just around hair treatment.

   My appointment was nearly a month ago now at the very beginning of June. It was a long process for poor Hannah who spent just over 5 hours doing a balayage and full head colour on my hair for me to get that blue colour back I had my heart set on. She was friendly, professional, and absolutely smashed it! I'm writing this a month on because the hair care advice she gave me was just as good as the treatment, and I'm still getting compliments on how bright the colour is almost 4 weeks on thanks to her advice. I've not used any other hairdresser since moving into the area and I wouldn't dare go anywhere else again. Thanks again for making my wish come true Hannah and the Chapter One team!

   Used this salon for first time recently and i was a bit nervous as my hair was in terrible condition and badly in need of a cut. Emma and her staff were so attentive and i had no need to worry. Emma was very helpful and talked about ways to help restore my hair. Great cut and look forward to returning.

   Took my granddaughter and teenage grandson. Enya has long hair needed it shorter but long enough for a ballet bun. Cut was just right. Grandson wanted trendy cut and again was very happy with result. Well done Nikki
