Had a great experience here with eyebrow threading. Toma was skilled and made it as painless as possible. Her attention to detail was great.

Toma is a fantastic nail technician. She is super friendly and professional. The salon is a very relaxing place to hang out in and I will certainly be back.

Toma did my nails today at the refurbished Wax Bar Morningside. The salon is stunning with blush pink upholstery and the shop now looks so much bigger. Smells amazing. Complementary hot and cold drinks Toma was a perfectionist. Friendly. Chatty but above all professional. Its nice to see staff being friendly to each other so obviously a good place to work. Its really busy but surprising calm. Nothing worse than a noisy salon. Thank you Toma. Im delighted with my nails.

I cannot thank Toma enough for providing such an exceptional service. Not only she made my nails and my sister's nails look great for my wedding, she also sorted me out for threading my eyebrows with one of her colleagues. This was after another saloon I had a reservation with failed me miserably with their services. I can safely say that the Wax bar in Morning side is officially the place where I will be booking all my beauty treatments. I cannot recommend it enough.

I booked same day. They had a cancellation so could fit me in. I'm greatful for that. However, The person who I saw was dressed in a miniskirt and had very long nails which was a hygiene health and safety for her and myself issue in my professional opinion. also doesn't seem professional. They didn't introduce themselves. "Are you hear for a wax?." Yes I replied and then silence. Nothing like "my name is xxxx I am here to do your wax. They didn't ask for records like allergies (professional best practice and legal requirement). They didn't take my details of phone number or anything. When I said I hadn't had a wax before they didn't ask if I had any skin conditions. The place smelled strongly of nail solvents. They sat me in a cheap feeling chair I nearly fell out of as this is not weighted or bolted to the floor again h&s issue. They where going to use strip waxes on my brows which isn't great for a salon The employee answered my questions (I was trying to chat to them) with blocks "so what are you studying?" "I'm not" rather than leading me to what I found out later which was that they went to school for beauty and did night school. She bashed my head with her elbow. The wax was performed in the middle of the room when I looked up the light fixtures where cracked and damaged and it wasn't relaxing they didn't offer any water or anything. They waxed a little and mainly used scissors to trim my brows (a big no-no as it makes them look bad with regrowth. I work in a field where looks are a vital aspect of the job.) When I was there I found it to be dirty with dust laying on surfaces. My experience may be coloured by the fact I am used to 4 and 5 star hotels but in the industry we all work in we should strive for excellence in this case it wasn't done. I feel I will keep to what I know in future. I'm I am also a manager. In hospitality so I'm critical of things in general if they are not right. They did get defensive when I said it wasn't right. The manager gave me 20% off.

Disappointed. Went for express pedicure, and got minimal cuticle work, they didn't even remove my previous polish properly and I had to ask them to do it. The new polish work was sloppy and ended up with polish on my skin (which I discovered when I was home and could check in good light). The lady doing my nails was absolutely lovely but didn't pay much attentionto detail. As I was about to leave I was stopped and told I hadn't paid (they didn't ask me if I had- they just said I hadn't- rude) and I had to prove I paid in Treatwell! After a few seconds of her searching she could see that I did pay! 25 pounds that I felt I was robbed off. Don't use the wax bar for nail work! And to the people working there: please be more attentive - having a lamp and better lighting would help you see what you are actually doing!
