   Went here today for a family lunch before pantomime, food was delicious, staff were very friendly especially our waitress, she was German, never got her name but she was so good, looked after us and the children

   Was at Owens yesterday for food and over 30’s day. Booked table and at time of booking told we would get 20% off food if we should tickets. When we went to pay bill we were told 20% off was for event on Friday night. Asked for mozzarella sticks with mains and brought out before. Loaded Parmesan fries had hardly any toppings was more like a plate of Fries. Garlic bread was hard and Cajun chicken pasta tasted of vinegar. Waiting 20 minutes for a round of drinks. The table we were sat at was awful could hardly hear due being sat behind coffee machine. There was supposed to be a marque out for over 30s day and there wasn’t. No where to stand without being soaked. Only reason I’m giving 3 stars is the fact we were refunded the ticket money

   Smashing pub. Although they had us booked for the following week...we were there for a 'Wake'!! Nonetheless they came up trumps. Super bowl of soup, followed by plates of mixed sandwiches on each table, then a mixture of cakes , also on each table. Followed by tea n coffee. Thank you all staff for a lovely afternoon .

   Used to frequent this place years ago, but haven't been for a while. Popped in recently for a lunch with family and it's still as good as it was, excellent food and staff and great. Highly recommended.

   It was my first time being here, and attended for a birthday party. The bar was very busy as there was the lounge area for the party I was attending, while there was another party on at the function room up the stairs. I will definitely go back as this seemed a really nice bar. Just obviously two separate parties on the place, at the same time, so it was absolutely heaving. Still giving it a 5 star review for a great night out.
