   Attended Merlin’s as I am new to the area and had this pub recommended to me by locals, however I was turned away by the bouncer who couldn’t give me any reason other than no, I wasn’t drunk as I have an alcohol intolerance and I do not drink and I was dressed very modestly. However my friend was highly intoxicated and wearing next to nothing and he said she could gain entry? I told him I have ID but he said he doesn’t want to see it and he doesn’t need to give me a reason for not letting me in. So I do feel like entry is based on if the bouncer thinks you are “pretty” enough to enter. Very disappointed unfortunately.

   Jack is brilliant and very professional. Very knowledgeable and kind. Very well dressed too. Great music and overall experience. Cleanliness is spot on. Amazing bar!

   Merlins Bar was part of our legendary UK tour stop in Motherwell. I've seen and followed it on social media before and wasn't disappointed. No karaoke on a Tuesday, but my mate and I still enjoyed the football, atmosphere and friendly bar man. Definitely my first choice next time I'm in Motherwell.

   Younger crowd , reasonable mix of music although audio quality is not the best due to poor speaker / PA system. Male toilets are piss poor (pun intended) far too small.

   Atrocious service , staff dismantling Christmas decorations, one bar staff serving and one mopping the bar floor I was in the bar for ten minutes and nobody attempted to serve me. There was hardly anyone in the bar , the is no excuse for the above. I went elsewhere and your bar have lost my custom. I am a personal licence holder and I would not put up with my bar staff who showed a complete disregard for their customers.

   My son and I visited Merlins for a psychic night with Jim Clark. I walk with a stick and Angela took great care of me and took me to the seated area so I didn't need to stand or wait. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a fire alarm set off from upstairs and it took a while to get fixed but it didn't distract from the night, but the staff came round and offered everyone a free drink for the inconvenience. They really didn't need to do that. The whole night was brilliant, the atmosphere was great fun and made particularly special by the staff, especially Angela looking after me and making sure I was comfortable and had managed to get drinks ok. I can't wait to go back.

   A lovely addition to Motherwell. Good music and excellent sports coverage. This pub is good in Motherwell and the staff are very friendly and welcoming and would recommend it to anyone. Great atmosphere and amazing entertainment. Had a good laugh with the karaoke. Will be back in a couple of days! Nice pub with friendly team of staff.
