Been going to Sink and Anchor and Ruari for many years now since the Grassmaket location. Always got a great Vibe and everyone is really friendly. I would highly recommend Ruari to anyone as he has a great wealth of knowledge and has had great advice for all hairstyles I’ve had. Sink and Anchor are genuinely one of the best barber shops in Edinburgh, I absolutely love coming to this place. Have had cuts by both very experienced barbers Luke & Jo, who have both made me walk out the door wanting to come straight back. Vibe and atmosphere of the new shop is great with more space to enjoy your typical cut experience alongside drinking a nice cold beer too! Can’t wait to come back!!
I’ve been heading to sink and anchor for my haircuts for years and frankly o couldn’t go anywhere else now. Not only is the vibe always great. Super friendly, welcoming and inclusive the haircuts are always 10/10. Luke always makes you feel like he is paying extra care and attention to give you exactly what you want!
Hands down best barber shop in Edinburgh. Luke and the team always know what to do with my hair , I know my receding hairline and over grown moustache are always in safe hands. (Thanks Rachel for always reminding me about my moustache) I am always made to feel extremely welcome at sink and anchor from moment I am greeting by Rachel and the dogs, for someone that's socially anxious it's nice to feel you have a safe space. The shop itself has a vibe and aesthetic that's unmatched and if you're lucky you might even get some puppy love. You can tell the team love what they do and I look forward to every visit
went in for a trim the other day and booked online with ryan. I asked for a mid fade and about a cm cut from my fringe. The fade wasn’t evenly cut, with one side being higher than the other. He took about 3-4cm off my fringe and left a chunk of it uncut and left at its normal length. A great and friendly atmosphere but at the end of the day for £20 ( students piece) a barber should do a lot better than this, overall not impressed.
