    Best bar in the West End, a great pint served by super staff at a very reasonable price plus special deals on drink all day every day. Always a good laugh in the Tav, plenty of characters in it and a great community feel with regular Bingo and Dominoes. In 2025 they threw a kids Christmas Party and a pensioners Christmas dinner for locals as well as running two St Mirren buses to the Scottish League Cup Final. From what I’ve seen they do a good buffet too for funerals (as it’s across the road from Paisley Crematorium and Woodside Cemetery.

    The Crown Bar was an absolute lifesaver. On 27/10/2023 we had booked the Ferguslie Bowling Club for a wedding party of 30 only to show up to find they had been double booked. However the Crown Bar, after a quick phone call advised they had a separate bar as a function room that could fit up to 45. No deposit required and they moved mountains to accommodate us at a moment's notice. The staff were wonderful and the space was lovely, we were allowed to decorate and use the existing lights and utilise the sound system if needed. Cheap drinks, a vast selection as well and they even suggested we could order food in if we wanted to. Staff and venue were fantastic cannot praise them enough for saving the day. Especially last minute on a Friday night for a group of 30.

    Alan and the staff were brilliant when i asked if they could do an after funeral tea.they were amazing and so nice it was perfect if you want an after funeral tea after woodside crematorium then please go her traditional relaxed friendly genuine people who made my late mum and i proud.wonderful
