My twin daughters 12th Birthday was beautiful, relaxing, calming and fun thanks to Claire and the girls at The Nail Yard. The girls got the teenage gel manicure treatment done. My husband got the fitness pedicure done. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone. What a pleasure it was . ❤️
I’ve never been in to a nail salon before, but I’d accidentally sliced through my nail with a knife and was looking for some advice on how to keep it protected while it heals. Claire very kindly sorted me out in a few minutes with a protective coating and some tips, and made me feel comfortable in the shop even though I felt a little out of place! Thanks so much for the help!
I went last Tuesday (it is Saturday today) for a gel manicure and already on Friday I noticed that the edge of some fingernails was peeling off. I went in on Friday and they kindly applied another top coat on a couple fingernails. The atmosphere is nice and the place smells amazing. This was my first gel manicure, I think the girls was inexperienced (she told me she has been there only two weeks), and after talking to my friend I’ve realised the problems I’m having are due to the fact that the free edge weren’t properly painted. My friend was actually a bit shocked my how shabby the manicure is (polish on the cuticles for example). Now I got one of the fingernails were water went between the top coat and the polish. Overall an expensive manicure that didnt last not even a week! I am debating if coming back to complain but I don’t want anyone to be in trouble - although if someone is inexperienced the fee shouldn’t be £40 like the more experienced technicians in my opinion! Overall not a good experience and I won’t be back.
The girls were so lovely and chatty during the pedicure. Was made to feel very comfortable and they did such a great job. Highly recommend the Margaret Dabbs option for a pedicure.
