Very disappointed with the DJ sent to do our Christmas party. He didn't speak at all, other than to call someone up for karaoke. He had hurt himself the day before and was miserable the whole evening.
Booked 6 weeks+ in advance for a 40th birthday party. The DJ earmarked for the event sent someone else when they were ill (which we had no idea about), who couldnt work the equipment. Loads of silences, no mike, and limited music with no requests. We only salvaged it ourselves by logging into a guest's subscription music account. Rob initially answered the phone on the night. When asked if he could speak to his dj to rectify the technical issues, he hung up and ignored further calls . Special event ruined. Rob did call back the next day and a partial refund was agreed, which was something, but this was no help on the night.
Had a 40th birthday party last night. Arrived promotly and set up without issue. I didn't request music but nick read the room and had both adults and children dancing throughout. Great energy. Many compliments from all. Many thanks. Was a great evening and much appreciated.
We booked Ace for our wedding and, as requested, we sent through a list of preferred songs and bands that we wanted to have played, including the special song for our first dance. The dj arrived nice and early got set up and off it went. Or so we hoped. He didn't know what we wanted for our first song, he had to ask my husband! As the night progressed we realised he wasn't playing any of the music we had specifically asked for. Most of the songs he played were older then me and my husband (we're 30s/40s)! Yes, people were dancing and it wasn't really bad music. Just not what we had asked for or were expecting. Also, we felt like the music was a bit too loud. You couldn't have a conversation because you couldn't hear eachother properly. We have had this fed back to us from a couple of guests as well. We would have loved to be able to leave a better review but sadly we didn't get what we asked and paid for.
Absolutely awful! Should not be aloud to work with children. Inappropriate chat with kids and adults. Enjoys the sound of his own voice and helped himself unnecessary amount of food!
My son attended a 11th birthday party and whoever the DJ was should not be allowed to work around children. My son was told to stop “f%*ing around” when he laughed into the microphone and his friend was pushed by the same DJ. Lots of music played with explicit lyrics, lots of children went home upset. I understand children can be frustrating but if you can’t control your anger, you should not work at children’s parties. I didn’t speak to the DJ at the time as it would’ve caused a scene at a young girls party but needless to say I’m absolutely fuming about the behaviour.
Rob was contracted with less than 2 weeks to my wedding after being let down by a large DJ company. He was very easy to talk to, very accommodating, and played what was requested on the (possibly unusual) playlist provided by myself! Brought top quality speakers, lights and smoke machine for a steal price. Agreed upfront for a quite late finish with no problem at all! Could be happier having Rob entertaining my wedding, highly recommended!
Had nik for a 30th birthday party, when I had originally spoken to Rob the owner I asked if it was possible to send over a play list so that nik new the type of music we where after and so he could download them ready for the party. When he arrived he made no eye contact when I introduced myself which i though was odd but ok whatever. Then i see him helping himself to the food that we hadn't even started to serve to adults without me offering or him asking. Who does that turns up to a stranger to him party and stuffs them self without asking. Anyway moving on around halfway through the night after he's played only a few of the songs that we gave him to play the birthday girl and my partner started asking him for songs from the playlist and his response was if I have it on here I'll play it.. so we waited a few songs and nothing so I went up and asked for songs and even showed him the song and he gave me the same response. I was furious his only job was to turn up on time and incorporate the songs we are asking for we've given you the playlist. Thankfully people where dancing to the stuff he was playing because most of them I had no clue as to what they where. I had enough nik by this point and didn't want anything more to do with him. The night ended I started clearing up taking stuff back and forth to the car and he's following me asking for the rest of the money all I kept thinking was you don't deserve it you didn't play what we asked for. Would you pay a builder if they didn't do what you had asked don't think you would. In the end I shoved the money on his hand and said to him next time download the playist and play what people ask for. With no response he just drove away. So yeah I wouldn't use them or if you are going to make sure you don't get nik
We had Tony dj at my engagement party last night which I fount the dj quite rude My partner gave the dj three genres of music which I had to ask over 5 times for him to play which when he finally listened to me and played them towards the end of the party people started to dance. We gave the dj a set time to arrive as we would have to pay the hall for earlier access but they didn’t listen arrived when they wanted and walked straight in . If I had to pay him at the end of the day he definitely wouldn’t of got the asking price I sadly wouldn’t recommend
