    19/12/25 update The reply from Arnold Clark to my feedback as below states I should contact customer service (even though I mentioned I did and no help from them either). This shows how they 'read' and act on the issues raised by the customers. The customer service only replied with 1 sentence asking for my reg plate, I sent my plate number and NEVER HEARD BACK. Well done Arnold Clark, never again. Disappointment and frustration are not enough to describe my experience. I purchased the car from them 2 months ago. From the day of vehicle collection I noticed an issue with one part of the car. Contacted the sales person (Masood) who sold the car. I was told to bring the car in to the garage for a check up. Waited around an hour and not heard back so I walked in to the servicing office to see if there is an update. They said the car was checked and no fault has been found (bear in mind the car was parked exactly where and how I left it, looked untouched). I asked why the update wasn't sent if the car was ready as they knew I waited around in a cold weather, they couldn't explain. I said I was nearby and car looks like no one checked it. They initially said the car was in the garage, then changed their story that the mechanic went out to the car park to see my car. Anyway, went back home. I still encountered the same issue with the car. Contacted the sales person again to be told I have to record the fault on camera and send them (as if I made the issue up) even though I clearly explained what the issue is. I sent them the video as requested and not heard back. I emailed again and again to be eventually told my email was missed. I was then told that it was raised with the manager and I would be contacted by the servicing to arrange to get the faulty part changed (even though previously they said there was no fault, so how come now they order a part without knowing what part needs ordered?!). Somehow 2 months later no call, no email etc. I emailed the sales person AGAIN and not even heard back, neither did from the manager or the servicing. I feel like I was fooled and misleaded the whole time and still have the issue with the car, yet NO ONE GETS BACK TO ME. This is totally unacceptable. I bought cars from Arnold Clark since many years and that is the first time I went to this branch and I would definitely not recommend. Dishonest, not reliable, not professional at all. Stay away from this branch. I am going to take it further as I keep all email communication with sales person and all evidence of how many times since day 1 from the purchase I have approached them to get the issue fixed. I can see a lot of bad reviews of similar nature. I don't think they care about good review and all that 'contact customer service' is a nonesense as well as I haven't heard from them either. No apology, no explanation, no reply from Masood or the servicing people. Pure ignorance. They just want to sell cars and as soon as issue appears they stop and communication and fool people to believe what they promise.

    Recently purchased a car from Steve McDonald at Motherwell. Seen car on the Sunday afternoon and collected it on Thursday evening. Steve was very helpful and kept me informed, didn't try to oversell additional products which I know they have to do, he just accepted when I declined them. Not pushy at all which i have experienced previously with car sales people. Wouldn't hesitate in using again. Thanks

    Arnold Clark as a whole is an absolute joke, they lie, steal and do whatever they can to make money at any cost. Drove 7 hours to pick up a 4 year old car and was told it was in original condition with no changes. "we would have to tell you if we changed anything by law" drove 120 miles and engine started smoking? Took it to our local Arnold Clarke (under warranty) and they wrote it off. Part ex gone no refund yet so stuck with nothing but a financial deficit and NO CAR. Avoid at all costs.

    Just completed a part exchange with Alex Trainor, would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new car. 10/10 customer service, super helpful. We had a couple of issues due to some documents being in my maiden name but he got it all sorted.He really took the time to make sure everything went though correctly and even done a follow up to let me know it was all sorted out.to give me peace of mind. Motherwell store is quite a bit away for us but I would be to travel there again to continue business with him :)
