Today is 20/12/2025 My car is Nissan Juke 2018 , Milage 10000 m 1.On 01/07 car won’t start, called roadside breakdown patrol, removed some electrical errors, disconnected battery +ive. terminal for 15 minutes, car started afterwards. 2. On 05/07 same thing happened, called the patrol and they did the same fix. They asked me to take it next to Nissan dealer if this happened as they might had this problem before. 3. On 11/08 Nissan did preliminary diagnostic test, corrected errors, reset to default, charged me dear amount of money, then suggested they need further in-depth diagnostic test and to see the outcome. They also suggested for me other non related repairs for just below £ 2k, this raised my alarm and I took my car back. 4. On 14/08 I dropped my car to nice guy at Partick auto electric. Did electrical test, rectified errors with special stress on the immobiliser, car started okay and he asked me to bring it back if this happens again. He charged me £zero 5. On 26/08 car won’t start while out, I have to disconnect the positive battery terminal for 15 minutes then started again. 6. On 28/08 I dropped the car at Car N Tyre service on recommendation of friend and neighbour. They cleverly switched between relays removing the one for starting to another site to see if it is faulty there. They kept the car for 11 days starting it daily until it was okay to collect. They charged me one hour labour which they suggested to take the car and pay later to see if everything is okay. I insisted to pay same day. The car since then working perfectly with no issues with start or other issues. I highly recommend Martin for his good manners, professionalism, and care for my car. I bought a van from this place and unfortunately had a very bad experience. Shortly after the purchase the van developed serious mechanical problems, including engine issues, smoke and poor performance. I have already spent around £1,000 trying to repair it, and the van is still defective, several mechanics have now told me the injectors need to be replaced. The person who sold it to me, Cameron Fleming, told me he would help me with any issues, but after several attempts to contact him he has stopped replying to my messages. Communication and after-sale support have been extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend other buyers to be very careful and to have any vehicle fully inspected before purchasing.
Know this garage thru a friend in Glasgow (I stay in Edinburgh) and been told that the guys there are honest and helpful. I gave them a try for the first time recently as I had just acquired a vintage jaguar 5.0 xk and wanted to have it checked before a long road trip down south. I asked them a lot of questions about suspension annd cornering improvements and they were patient with me answering and honest to me that it would cost me a fortune if I’d expect that like a new car. They looked at the car saying she was healthy and fine and I can wait until the next MOT to have part(s) changed if I really wanted to. This can save me much money. I wasn’t pushed to have this or that changed and was reminded to be gentle with the car as she has some age. I will definitely come back for MOT and have the car regularly serviced here.
Excellent customer service! I showed up with my car on a recovery truck ten minutes before closing. They could have easily turned me away but seen that I was in need. They quickly fixed my problem and had me on my way in no time. Exactly the kind of service that will have me back here in the future.
Brilliant service. During a day of awful winter weather I got a puncture due to a nail. National chains were no help, several advised no same day deliveries due to snow, none of them could tell me when they could fix my tyre or replace it. A friend suggested I contact Car n Tyre. I wasn’t convinced what a small garage could do that the national chains could not. Firstly, they tried to repair puncture but damage was too severe. They advised they would order a tyre, gave me fixed price. Due to bad snow all over Scotland all same day tyre deliveries were cancelled. It was Friday mid morning and I still needed to get home to Inverness that night and I needed a new tyre. Unbelievably Martin offered to drive to Airdrie, he collected my tyre from his supplier, fitted the tyre and called me to collect by 3pm. Now the most miraculous part of the story “He didn’t charge a penny extra for going out in bad weather to collect the tyre.” They were polite, helpful and efficient. They genuinely wanted to help and they got the job done. I was only in Glasgow working for the day and needed to get home to Inverness. These boys should wear capes not boiler suits. Totally delighted.
Great garage - very helpful, friendly and chatty! Flexible time of arrival, a welcoming atmosphere and waiting area! Best advice as to repairs/services done to your car for the best price! Highly recommend !
Needed an emergency tyre repair and they were able to fit my car in and make the repair, staff were lovely and I would highly reccomend
Great service from this garage today. Had issue with brakes and they checked the whole system to ensure it was safe to drive. Car was washed too! Very efficient and knowledgeable staff, who only advise repairs when necessary. Definately not out to con you! Would highly recommend.
I started servicing my car at Car N Tyre about 9 months ago. They did oil service (a couple of times), tyres and brakes so far. Top class service at reasonable price. I recommend it 100%.
