Put my car in for an MOT September 2024. Paid £500 to have rear suspension arms replaced to pass. Couple months later the car started swaying about, steering not right and was quite scary to drive. I took the car back to them and they diagnosed the power steering rack and pump had to be replaced (at a cost of re conditioned ones for £725) So booked car in for this to be done. Week passes and as they NEVER answer their phone walked down to the garage to ask what’s going on with my car. Was told the ‘wrong parts were sent’ and they’d call and let me know when the correct parts arrived but I decided to take my car back as they seemed very uninterested and unhelpful. And they never did call. Booked the car into another local garage who was horrified at how dangerous the tracking was. Nothing to do with power steering pump or rack, all tyres were so worn and squint and they said in the history of their business had never seen tyres so damaged and steering so dangerous all down to tracking, and that the problem was most definitely caused from tracking not being done after rear suspension arms fitted at time of MOT. This garage fitted 4 new tyres and corrected the tracking at a cost of £550 and the car drives perfectly now. I should take Uddingston Service & MOT Centre (the one next to Tesco) to a small claims court to get my money back for the damage they’ve created and cost me but I’m just glad an accident did not happen on a public road due to their laziness and negligence.
A very busy business,needed some work done and it was going to be a two week wait for an appointment. Best try elsewhere if you need an emergency repair
I needed a new valve for tyre and my TPMS re-fitted. Having called yesterday, the local main Mini dealer quoted me £131 to supply and fit a new one. By the time I received their quote USC fixed my problem for £15 - outstanding service and value!!
Been using this garage for MOTs and general maintenance a while now and I will always recommend them. They're friendly and professional and have even gone out of their way to collect my car when the battery died in absolutely dreadful weather! Chloe is great and always makes sure to fit you in where she can and get your car back to you if you need it for a certain time
