   Excellent Service from James Coyle. Since moving to the area I've used them twice for my car MOT - top marks well deserved - car tested and returned to me promptly. 23/8/25 - Update - I took my car back to the garage very recently for a repair - a very unsafe noise was happening when hard steering left or right. Dropped the car off in the morning, and a couple of hours later they called me to advise that a new strut was needed. Cost of the part and for labour was discussed - after which the work went ahead. The car was returned to me later that afternoon - and feels as good as new to drive. Great price too - a lot less than what I thought I was going to get charged!! Thank you very much James Coyle - top marks well deserved.

   These guys are amazing!!! If they were a band they would be rockstars!!! My Volvo clutch failed and nobody had space to repair for another 2-3 weeks. Gary managed to fit me in within 24 hours, car was repaired (full clutch kit & flywheel) same day and got the car delivered to my work before finishing at 5pm. Special mention to Luca and Andy who saw the job through to completion!!!

   My experience at this garage was appalling. They charged me £1500 but failed to resolve my car issue or offer a refund. The repair process stretched an agonizing two months, causing significant inconvenience. The receptionist's rude and dismissive behavior towards customers was utterly disappointing. I strongly advise against using this garage for any repairs. They exhibit a lack of competence, poor customer service, and an indifferent attitude. Avoid this establishment for your car repair needs.

   Just picked my car up from this garage. It’s a very expensive place to put your vehicle in. I’ve used this garage a few times and found it expensive but a good service. But this time it’s just very expensive. No real price breakdown on labour carried out per job need done. I’ve no problems with work needing done or paying a fair price. More than half of a £1000 bill being on labour it’s a bit much for me. I do want to use this garage as it’s my local one but it’s becoming to expensive. After querying the labour and asking a manager to call me back I’ve received no information 2 weeks later. I’ve contacted other garages with what the MOT failed on. The price of repairs was 100s of pounds difference. I tried to be very fair with the garage. And ask why this bill has gotten out of hand. The receptionist basically didn’t answer any of my questions or contact me back. You put your trust in garages… local garages. An you expect to pay a fair price for work needed carried out. I’ve no problem with paying the going rate. Please save yourself some money and avoid. I feel like I’ve been ripped off and taken advantage of. I’ve sent an email to them with little hope of a response. No labour breakdown No call back or explanation of the bill.

   Phoned in on Friday booked for an MOT for Monday 8.30 to be ready by 12 o o’clock yes no problem, went there Monday 8.30 telling me won’t be ready till 5 or may be tomorrow why is this? Because he got 5 or 6 cars before me! But I booked in on Friday? Yes but he was thinking I won’t go ! I been using them few times they were good just disappointed wouldn’t expect that.

   We received outstanding service from James and his team. We had a problem with our alternator and couldn’t start our car, James and his colleague came down the road to jumpstart and take away our car for us and magically managed to source a replacement part that same morning so that we were able to safely make our return journey home that day. They kept us fully informed of the progress and were extremely helpful right from our first phone call. We are hugely grateful and would recommend James Coyle Motor Engineers without reserve.

   I took my jeep here and James, the owner, he put my mind at ease I thought I was going to be faced with a huge bill forr the investigation alone. He seemed to think he knew what the problem was and it was quickly sorted out within about an hour of me arriving. Price was great, service was great and everyone was polite and curteous. Definite recommendation to everyone. If you need a service, repair or MOT, this is a place well worth considering
