   BEYOND TERRIBLE — READ BEFORE YOU RISK YOUR CAR HERE 0 star if possible! This garage is, without an iota of exaggeration is the worst place to get your car done, and my experience with them was shocking from start to finish. If you value your safety (he literally had his hands on me), money, and peace of mind, avoid A and R Autorepairs at all costs. The mechanic, Yusuf, lost my tyre lock kit and never replaced it, carried out an atrocious exhaust replacement, and then charged me again to “fix” his own poor work which was carried out July 2025. He refused to provide a quotation despite me asking repeatedly before work commenced, carried out work I did NOT authorise, and then presented an inflated bill with additional fees I never agreed to. When I questioned it, he became unreasonable and refused to hand over my car keys, effectively holding my vehicle hostage and putting my 1 year old child at risk (also refused me taking out the baby stroller from the trunk) while expending so much money on taxis. I made an official complaint, the wife Tia ‘receptionist’ told me it meant nothing. The situation deteriorated so badly that third parties had to be involved just for me to retrieve my own car. No customer should ever experience this level of unprofessionalism, lack of transparency, or intimidation from a business. It is APPALLING!!!! Based on my experience, poor workmanship, undisclosed charges, refusal to return my property, and behaviour that needed the mediation of third parties. I consider this garage completely untrustworthy. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!

   Excellent team of mechanics! We were driving on our expedition to UK and stopped by after the ferry crossing from Belfast as we had an issue with our steering. They received us and immediately diagnose the problem and fixed it for us! We're very greatful for their help and on our way to finish our journey!

   This has been the second time I have used AR Autos in the past few months. I don't come from the Clydebank area but tk me it's worth travelling the extra few miles as they are reliable, trustworthy and know what they are doing. The reason I went back a second time is that I was told by my usual mechanic that I needed a new clutch but AR Autos discovered it was an airlock and saved me over £450. In my opinion most other places would have just replaced the clutch and charged for it, so to me they deserved my business again. I am equally satisfied with the latest work they done on my car and although they are not local to me, they have now become my go to garage. THANKS AGAIN AR !!!

   I could not be happier with my experience here - and I got lucky finding these guys on a whim from a Google search for a mechanic close to me. Had a coolant leak still AFTER taking to a major brand garage (let’s not name who) and the guys managed to get me in on the same day and fix it in a couple of hours. It has saved me so much mental stress knowing that I finally have a TRUSTWORTHY mechanic I can see to keep my Honda CRV in top shape! I paid a very fair price for something that was actually explained to me confidently and in a non belittling way - something that is honestly rare to find as a woman in the car world. I am ever grateful and will be back after a few thousand miles. Thanks guys!

   I contacted AR Auto repairs today ( after trying several local garages) as my window washer wasn't working. They were extremely pleasant and offered me same day appointment. I waited while they checked everything and fixed the problem ( it turned out to be the fuse) . Minimal cost for superb service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thanks again guys !

   Fantastic service at a reasonable price with nice friendly. Staff, took my campervan for a timing belt. The price included all the pulley's and water pump. They also discovered an oil leak on the crankshaft..... Great job, very pleased. I would recommend to anyone...

   AR Auto Repairs provided a professional service from the start to finish. I am not from this area and needed my car fixed as the problem was getting worse. I posted my job on who can fix my car. AR Auto Repair were the first garage to send me a quote which I thought was very reasonable for what I required. They managed to get me in for a next day appointment and had the car back to me the same day. Upon inspection of the car, they found that my injector valves seals were perished and there was a small weld required on the exhaust system. The garage let me know over the phone and agreed a new price which was only a little over the original quote. I was more than happy for them to carry on with the work. They provide an amazing update service and sent me regular photos and a video of the progress of the work being carried out. I was very happy to have found such an honest, professional and very reasonably priced garage who provide regular updates. I would absolutely recommend using this garage.
