I recently changed garage and take my car to VMS. I have had a repair carried out an MOT and on another occasion a service. All work carried out to a fantastic standard and very reasonable priced. All in all I would recommend VMS to anyone looking for a trustworthy garage, you will not regret it.

I broke down in the street and the mechanic popped out to get me going in 2 mins while I was still waiting for road side assistance to call me back with a quote. He explained the part I need to find so my own garage can replace it when I get home. Most grateful
I cannot recommend this garage in good faith. A few years ago, I took one of my cars to them and was quoted £1,200 for a repair. I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere and ended up paying just £400 for the car to be repaired (fault wasn’t as originally diagnosed by this garage). Recently, a friend mentioned they had a good experience with this garage for a big job on their car which was just out of warranty, so I thought perhaps my previous visit was just an off day, and the garage is fairly local, so with convenience in mind, I tried them again. Giving them a second chance, I took another one of my cars in for a heating issue and was quoted £1,000 for a motorised thermostat replacement. Again, something didn’t sit right with me, so I decided to take my car elsewhere. However, while the car was still at their garage, the spring snapped, making it undrivable. I had to pay for that repair before I could move the car. When I finally took it to another garage, they fixed the heating issue for £600 less—and it wasn’t even the motorised thermostat that needed replacing! This is now the second time I’ve been quoted for unnecessary repairs at inflated prices, and I can’t justify giving them another chance. I would have had no issue paying whatever the price was to have it repaired, but this is one of those garages you just get that feeling you’re being ripped off in, unfortunately. Dishonest? Greedy? Lack of knowledge? I don’t know.. either way, my interactions haven’t been great and had I went ahead on both occasions, I would have been at least £1,400 out of pocket by now. Our friends bill was in it’s thousands, it’s now got us all wondering if the work carried out was actually necessary based on my experiences.
This was my first time going to VMS having been recommended to them. I had been to two garages with my Fiat 500x which is only 8 years old and was told I needed to order parts for it which it turns out it didn’t need and then was told that Fiat no longer make a part that was needed to fix it and I’d be best to get rid of our car as it was effectively useless now. I got a second opinion from these guys and they had it fixed and back to me on the same day and I can get my money back from the parts I’d ordered which they advised me it didn’t need in the first place. It’s very hard to find honest people these days but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend VMS to anyone looking for a good honest garage where fixing their customers cars is their priority and not how much money they can make. They’ve saved me hundreds of pounds and I can’t thank them enough.
Always very reasonably priced and don't try and fool you into paying for unnecessary work. Highly recommended.
Great friendly service by people who actually know what they’re doing and explain everything including costs before going ahead. Sorted my car perfectly after another garage did a botched cowboy timing belt change on me!
Amazing service. Couldn't recommend VMS highly enough! I'm not completely clued up about car mechanics but everything was thoroughly explained to me and made me feel at ease. Definitely using this garage for any future car issues! Thank you so much Stephen and team.
