I would never leave a bad review anywhere but this garage i would never take my car back to! I booked through the AA and felt it was trusted due to this and got my brake pads changed i waited for most of the day and got an email at 4pm to collect my car. I left immediately from my house and it was around a 45 minute drive to the garage with rush hour traffic. When i got to the garage the pop up reception they had was locked and windows closed we banged the doors and windows and there was no one inside we then banged on the shutter of the garage again no reply - we then stood for 10 minutes calling and calling incase someone was through the back etc but they had left!! It clearly states on google they shut at half 5. Understandable they’d want to go home early on a Friday but not with my property inside until Monday! I called the AA and she spent 25 minutes calling the manager and she had no idea what to do and was equally as stressed as me. She stated they absolutely should have called to find out where i was if they were closing early. Absolutely insane!! No communication from the actual garage to say my car was complete just a short email from the AA. The lady at the AA finally got through to the manager and he drove back up and handed my keys over but there was no apology or anything and on the phone he said “i’m here where r u??” as if he’s been waiting on me. But clearly saw him get into his car and drive off after. Honestly i would never recommend here after this as i was totally stressed about how i would get to work etc for two full days.

Appalling service from this garage. I was taken to this garage by A.A. and was therefore AA approved. ÒI was told only a temporary repair could be done, as part needed to fully repair fault, was not available for several days. I was scheduled to drive 489 miles to my home in Devon and mechanic told me vehicle would be safe to drive there. However, when I attempted to start my car, the same fault was still evident, i.e. vehicle juddered and cut out. The fault, according to the mechanic, was the vvt sensor, which he couldn't obtain for several days. He told me to open the bonnet and showed me how to hit the side of the sensor with a piece of metal. This action stopped the shuddering and vehicle didn't cut out. He gave me a piece of metal to use!!! He assured me that I would be able to drive home. I returned to the hotel I was staying at, which was 3 miles away and the car cut out on me twice. The next morning I returned to the garage, explaining that I was unsure where to hit. A young mechanic knew where to hit and this again solved the problem. However, the vehicle repeatedly cut out on a short journey and I realised it was totally unsafe to consider driving to Devon. I therefore booked 2 further nights at hotel I was staying, in order to search and enabled me to buy an alternative vehicle and drive home safely. I was charged £381.60 for the work allegedly undertaken, which was £162.50 for diagnosing running fault; £65.00 to remove and refit new oil and filter; £32.50 to remove and refit new timing solenoid; £18.00 for oil filter; £40.00 for oil and £63.60 VAT. Thus the reason for such a low score.

Took my car in today as I needed new brake pads, discs and calliper. They took me straight away and were really friendly towards me and all the other people coming and going, got my car back same day around 4hrs later which is a massive bonus in my eyes! Really couldnt have been better 10/10

I am very grateful for the help I received today from the team at the garage. My car was recovered locally, a new battery was fitted and the MOT was renewed all at short notice. This is the place to go for local repairs and your annual MOT. Great service and very reasonable price.

My car went in on Wednesday to have a catalytic converter (which I have supplied )installed and needed a de-cat removed. I explained prior to it being dropped off that the bolts have seized and needed heat applied to be removed. Advised we would have contact during the day about progress and anything needing done before mot was done. No call came, my partner called at 5.55 to be told they were closing and they needing more time with it. He was in the process of asking for a rough estimate in price when the phone was hung up on him. I then called the following morning explained we needed the car returned that night for work commitments etc again asking for a call to give me an update. 4.15 we passed noticing the car had been sitting out on the street for a few hours so stopped in to see if it was ready. Was abruptly told no they’ve ran out of oxygen and can’t put any more heat into it and they’ve also snapped one of the bolts on my manifold. So when we’re you planning on calling to tell me??? Clearly never. Presume the manager then said we can have a courtesy car even tho he only gives them out for big jobs. Spends 15 mins finding the keys while we stand and listen to the staff inside calling each other all profanities, arguing about who’s answering the phone etc. He then hands the keys over and disappears, not showing us which car it was we were taking or looking over it etc. We haven’t used the car as you’ll see from pictures it’s not fit for road purpose, the front headlight is out, the light fit the registration plate is missing, there’s a fault with abs, seatbelts and airbags, and the panel on the front drivers side is being held on by wood screws!!! It smacks off the tyre when driving. As a company I’d be mortified to hand this over to a customer and also have people driving around advertising my garage with it. I appreciate that things happen and suppliers etc can you let you down however the attitude and lack of communication from this garage has completely shredded any faith and I will never use them again. Your manager needs a serious customer service training course. As it stands I still don’t have my car back!

These guys are always courteous and helpful. Dropped in with no booking as the protective plate under my car had come loose and they threw it up on the ramp and fixed it for me there and then. No hassles and definitely feel valued as a customer.
