Well, you arrived to pick me up quickly but your driver had an unprovoked and unexplainable outburst toward me at the end. Extremely small understanding, I tried to tip him in the car, he politely declined, he got out first and took some of my bags to the door without being asked, I said thanks, I then grabbed 1 of 2 remaining bags and he took the other, I then while holding the change to offer 1 last time to tip him said "could you.." and motioned to the bag he held, meaning for him to take the change and give me the bag. He then from all smiles at the start, out of nowhere became angry, cut me off before I'd freed my hand to take the bag, and started going off on me claiming I was wasting his time, "I've just took those bags to your door now you're wanting me to take these ones too? Wasting my time", of course while he jumped in and helped me with the first bags without being asked. He got pissed off because I asked him to help with the last 1 (which I never asked, either) all in a nasty venomous tone totally out the blue, don't know what his problem was, guy might need help, otherwise, what a clown, seemed fine one sec and nuts the next lol
Called at 12.47am Saturday night. Male operator answered. He was sullen, monotone and determined to speak as quietly as possible to the detriment of the conversation. I had to asked him multiple times to repeat himself. I needed 3 taxis for 10 people. He then mumbled "are they all cards? " Again due to his inability to articulate himself I had to ask him to repeat himself at least 4 times. Which clearly annoyed him. I asked him "Do you mean can we pay the fares by card payment , yes we can " I was frustrated by now and finished the call by saying if you had phrased that question differently it would have saved us a lot of time! His response Well. he cancelled the taxis. We waited a fair amount of time given it was a Saturday night 40 minutes later my friend called and asked for an update. He told her that the taxis were cancelled and he had absolutely no idea how it happened! My friend experienced the same sullen inaudible attitude from him. Just a little later a woman operater called me , she had obviously been left to sort out his inability or refusal to order our taxis. She very quickly sorted the 3 journeys out and the taxis turned up within 10 minutes. Drivers were pleasant and journeys home were uneventful. We all have aspects of our jobs we don't like However if you work in a taxi office You must expect late Saturday night calls are going be part of your shift! What you don't get to do is to be belligerent, inaudible and cancel ordered taxis because your in a bad mood and customers struggle to make out a word your saying. Maybe give this guy some training to check his attitude, or he should get a different job.
Great service. Operator very polite and professional. Didn’t have too wait long. Driver very nice and chatty. Main thing is that as a female, I felt very safe travelling with Hastie Cars.
We used Hastie Cabs for our wedding cars and they were exceptional. The cars were immaculate and were exactly where they needed to be when they needed to be there. The weather on our wedding day was wild! Storm Floris wind! Our driver genuinely risked his life with a golf umbrella with get me in and out of the car in one piece! We used them for other bits and pieces across our wedding weekend too, including a minibus out to Edinburgh airport. Fantastic service across the board!
My driver today was great, turned up on time was very friendly and chatty. Great customer service and a good route taken to avoid all of the traffic.
Ordered a car from Blantyre to Denniston tonight. Driver arrived in good time. Took my wife and I to Meadowbank St. Good conversation with driver . Phoned for a taxi back home at 11.45 and was told taxi would be with us soon. Got a message from Hasties that I had to pay £29 upfront even though this was not mentioned at time of booking. Even got a call back, which means your taxi is there. Didn't have a card with me, only cash. Phoned Hasties back and told them I would pay the driver before he took me anywhere. Nope was the answer. They left my wife and me stranded in Denniston with no taxi. Phoned Glasgow cabs who picked us up no problem. Cheaper as well. Only £22. Guess who I will be using from now on. Not Hasties. Very arrogent on phone saying it was John the owners company policy.
Drivers are always prompt and very pleasant willing to chat if required. Deliver shopping to the door and very reasonably priced. First class service on the phone too very patient and helpful. Thanks its appreciated B. Marshall
Phoned a taxi on Boxing Day morning to get to work, taxi arrived within a few minutes, driver was friendly and polite. The taxi controller was nice and polite when I called for a taxi. No issues.
Great company, odd time waited longer for car to arrive but usually very prompt. Phone operators always pleasant as are the drivers
