Surprisingly smooth and pleasant experience in Musselburgh branch, while four other locations put me off shopping in Lidl.
Good size lidil with all the usual bits
Not as big as other Lidl's, but they have you covered
It gets 2 stars because it's a lidl, you know what you're going to get, cheap produce but quality. Last week, I wanted to get something that was on sale, stacked up outside. I thought I'll never be able to carry it, so I asked the woman at the tills if they had a code that they could put through she said no. My only option was to pick it up and bring it in. I didn't think I'd be able to carry it, so I didn't bother. I came back today to see if they had the amazing idea of getting a member of staff to pick it up for me, I didn't think of that the first time, but they should have. When I looked at it, I picked it up and realised I could carry this it was much lighter than I expected. I got to the till, and the nice young lass put 2 bags through for me as I would grab another one on the way out. I had cash this morning. I always use my card so I went to the till with card only on it. When I realised my mistake, I told the older woman that was also at the till. The look she tried to hide was an angry one. I was not happy with that. I work in retail. There is no need for it. All you had to do was say 'hold on I'll get you over to this till, it's not a problem' so the product was left at the till without me buying it and I won't be going back. Rant over, I'm off to Aldis, and I suggest you go there too
Love their themed weeks. Great clean store with friendly staff.
food and drinks are available in all shops. Why do I go to yours? I go for the staff. Always smiling and friendly. Others may take an example from you.

As usual a visit for the essentials at a great price ,then theres the middle isle stuff you never thought they would have big power tools with a little name and a great price ...worth a look ,not just bread n teabags....
Really great selection at good prices. I'm only scoring 4 as there's not many tills and none self service. I wouldn't want to visit at a busy time. Other Lidl branches have self service tills.
