Put car in for repair. Great service. Fixed promptly and car running great now. Staff excellent and friendly. Highly recommend this local garage. Reasonable rates too. Good to have the personal touch something which is sadly missing these days.
Dropped a car to glentyne for a MOT over 4 weeks ago had little no no contact since, anytime we have made contact have been informed will be fixed in the next day or two. Have now had a call from glentyne to collect the cat with a invoice of £850 this isn’t the issue We have been billed for 3 hours labour in over 4 weeks. The receptionist stated multiple times ‘this is a 2 way street’ stating we should have called them for an update. This MOT was only a few changes needed and some welding. The car still isn’t fully fixed due to the blower motor not working yet. The last phone call was ended with ‘Are you coming to get it or what’
Very disappointed. Have been going to Glentyan for all my repairs for the last 2 years and was overall satisfied with the service. However I brought my car in recently to get it checked as i felt unsafe driving it and knew something wasn’t right. I got told that it had been checked over and all parts were functioning as they should. After insisting to have it double checked I got told that there was no faults and that it seemed fine after a test drive. The next day I was in a crash as I couldn’t come to a complete stop (from driving at 20mph) as my breaks weren’t functioning properly after I was reassured that there had been no issues. I went to seek for advice from another garage and got told straight away that my ABS system was failing and had less than 50% breaking power. Now I am left with extensive damage on my car and an extortionate repair bill for something that could’ve easily been spotted and fixed. I can’t believe this actually happened and thankfully no one was injured in the accident accident especially after I had insisted that the car got checked extensively and still got carelessly sent away in a vehicle that was not safe to drive. I will definitely not be using this garage again
