The sale prices were underwhelming and didn't feel like a true Boxing Day sale. However, what was far more shocking was the manager's attitude toward her staff. My husband and I were waiting for his shoes for quite some time. This was absolutely not the fault of the staff member assisting us. She was polite, kept checking for the item, and even asked other colleagues for help. She looked visibly unwell and expressed concern to her manager. Her manager (a brown hair woman with noticeable make up) showed the most disgusting carelessness towards her staff member. She blatantly dismissed her and even seemed annoyed at her. The employee looked overwhelmed and on the verge of fainting due to the crowded environment. Which I do not blame her, I too felt overstimulated for the short time period I was in there for, I couldn't imagine being in that environment during a whole shift, while having manager like that on top of it all. I'm appalled that JD would employ managers who show such little care for their staff and seem more concerned with money than basic human decency. I genuinely hope the staff member is okay.

I had to return my North Face jacket because I didn’t like it, and my experience at JD Bond Street was honestly terrible. They kept insisting I needed the invoice even though my order was online, and they tried pushing a JD gift card instead of a refund, which I refused, wasting almost an hour of my time. I ended up going to the Oxford Street branch instead, and they refunded me in literally 2 minutes. Couldn’t be happier :) big thanks to the guy who helped me (Faroon/Faroom, not sure of the exact name) for being extremely nice and handling everything so smoothly. I truly appreciate it

The worst kind of staff I have ever experienced in any store the way I have seen in JD's Oxford Street store. The staff member made us wait for 30 minutes to see a shoe. Then, when he eventually gave us one shoe, and when we asked for the other, he asked us to wait and then, after 10 minutes, told us we can't try both shoes together. We have to remove the left shoe and return, and then we can try the right shoe. I asked him if I could talk to his manager. The manager said he was too busy to talk and I should do what the guy was saying. I got really put off and asked my husband that we should leave as the staff was very rude. And the moment I started leaving, the staff started shouting, "Get out, get out," because I had called him rude. I said I didn't call you rude; I was talking to my husband. Seeing all the chaos, another manager came and told me I can't shout at her staff. I told her that her staff shouted at me first. She said it's her duty to school her staff, not mine. So I asked her if her staff was shouting at me, what should I do? She said I was getting too agitated, and I should leave. I said I was leaving before her staff started shouting. Then she tried to blame me for twisting her words. I request the management, if anyone can see it through a CCTV or through the other people who were present there and tru to look into the matter. It will be good for them. I have gotten my shoes from JD's other branch on Camden High Street, and the staff there was so good and courteous. In the end, I want to say that it's good to protect your staff, but one needs to see that they should also consider the customer. We can understand you are overworked, but you can't take it out on us.

Good selection of sportswear and trainers. Store can get quite busy at times, but staff were helpful and I found what I needed.

Very poor customer service. I bought a pair of shoes on Saturday as a gift, and went back on Monday to exchange them for the correct size. The manager, Esther, refused to exchange them, claiming the shoes were dirty — which wasn’t true at all. That’s exactly how they were sold to me. She was rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. She didn’t offer any solution and showed no willingness to assist. I left feeling very disappointed and with no resolution. With that kind of attitude, ESTHER should not be in charge of customer service. I definitely do not recommend this store.

Always been shopping with JD but never really experienced bad customer service until today. I had a return where I missed the return window due to some unforeseeable circumstances. (Was a one- off situation as I've never returned anything in the past or didn't miss the time frame). So I explained the situation and the girl/woman with glasses didn't seem to care or bother. Nor, did she even want to understand. To top it off, she was contradicting herself, firstly saying the system won't allow her to put it through but seconds later, she was saying she can but she's not going to take that risk (something to do with the online warehouse might not accept it). In other words, she can put it through the system but she won't. Mind you, my parcel was unopened, so it has not been touched or worn. It was sealed as it was sent. It was at their discretion. She was rude, unsympathetic, nor did she take into consideration that I've been a long standing customer of their's and never had any issues in the past with my purchases/orders. Therefore, it was clear it was a one-off situation for me. Regardless of all this, they didn't even want to out of goodwill put it through. Instead, she stood there waffling and contradicting herself. I didn't want to go back and fourth with her. So I left and called customer service. What can I say, she was something else, she advised me to return it to Nike? I mean does that even make sense. However, when I called the second time and spoke to someone called Malika, she was at least considerate and trying to help me with realistic options. All in all, I was very shocked with the customer service from this store and then the first woman I spoke to in the customer care team. Makes me question if I would want to shop here or with JDs at all but you do get a few gems like Malika and another was Dimitra (another customer care lady who was polite about the whole thing as well).

The staff at this JD Sports are too cool to make eye contact or smile or treat customers with respect. Good selection of trainers and whatnot, but the staff act like they are above the customer. Unacceptable.

Waited an hour and 15 minutes for a pair of trainers. Poor service. Once asking for an update all I was told to wait. Wouldn’t return. This store needs some basic customer service training.

Everything the 1-star reviewers have said about this branch is true. I experienced it, today. Went in to buy a pair of trainers - not at all expensive compared to some of the others they sell but times is hard, innit. Waited 15 miutes for my size to appear from the basement storeroom. Then waited another 10 minutes for the sales assistant to allow me to try them on. He gave me the right hand shoe to try. It fitted, I liked it. May I please try on the left hand shoe? No, it's store policy we can't let you try on the left hand shoe. OK, what if I give you the right hand shoe back to hold? May I then try on the left hand shoe? No, it's company policy not to give out the left hand shoe. My patience was at an end, I found a "supervisor" and explained what had happened. He allowed me to try both shoes on - left and right. They were perfect. However, I was so angered by the way I was treated that I refused to by them from this branch and told the supervisor as much. I walked up the road to the Bond Street branch, tried both shoes on and bought them. The worst customer service of any shop in the known universe.

No doubt why this shop is very popular, mainly amongst youngsters, is very appealing, nice, clean, vibrant. And is not only for young people they have womens, mens and children items as well. Like all this kind of shoe shops is very busy, but the employees are very dynamic and they have a good system to bring your shoes fairly quick. They have a device that they scan on the shoe and let you know immediately is they have it in stock or if they have your size or not Amazing! I always see people queing and it's because they have a very good selection of shoes and merchandise that is well display. My new option for buying sneakers and trainers. So far so good.
