Fantastic place for your kid's. Amazing memories of growing up in Oxgangs in the 70's, spending every day of the school holidays from Hunter's Tryst and Firrhill school's. It used to cost 2p to get in and it was big John Spence, that ran it ? You played football, table tennis, there was a wee tuck shop, my Mum got her hair done there ( her perm ). Played for their fitba team, home games at the crappy pitches at Colinton Mains, with the changing rooms in a wooden hut, with everyone smoking fags ( 10 regal small ) I'm so glad, it's still there, striving. If the kid's can take half the memories and happy time's we all had, it will stick with them forever. Brilliant place for the "young uns" ! Colourful character's went there like "Midge, Stevie Devine, Dougie Begbie, McGinn, all great guys, until they asked to borrow your Adidas Sambas to play long shots on the floory bit for football. Great time's. Wish you all the best.

Born and bred in sunny Oxgangs in 1964 and from about 8yrs old, spent many many happy times at the " Commy Centre " ! I remember big John Spence, whom ran it for years. Played for your footy team ! Brilliant place to spend all your school holidays in ! ( 2p to get in ) I hope the centre is doing well and hope for the best for the future, for you all ! Highly recommend any parents to get their kids going here ! Yep, great memories of a great place !! From Alex Le Grice
