Visited the Assembly Rooms, George Street for a fringe show this week. The performance by Africa Power was energetic and thought provoking. The staff were efficient, kind and the disabled toilet was excellent. Couldnโ€™t fault the gothic looking venue which I hadnโ€™t visited in years, so even more satisfied. Will definitely look out for future and suitable performances. Thank you.

Very impressive piece of architecture at the assembly hall catching all the tourists eyes. love this gothic style building located at the Mount very close to the train station. Looks like an old historical building, yet very well maintained. If the gates are open then I highly recommend that you step in and visit this beautiful place. Its free visit and iโ€™m sure youโ€™ll never regret it. Its beautiful in day light or night, making this city more beautiful.

This venue is absolutely stunning, from the moment you walk through the entrance to the beautifully designed courtyard and the impressive assembly hall itself. The attention to detail in the architecture and decor makes it a truly memorable location for any event. We had the pleasure of attending a performance of Shrek Burlesque (Swamplesque) here, and the hall provided the perfect atmosphere for such a unique and entertaining show. The acoustics were excellent, and the seating offered great views from every angle. I couldnโ€™t recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a top-notch venue. The staff here are also incredibly helpful and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Assembly Hall in Edinburgh is a historic and beautiful venue located on the Mound. The buildingโ€™s impressive Gothic architecture and rich history make it a key landmark in the city. Inside, the hall is spacious and grand, often hosting significant events and performances, especially during the Edinburgh Festival. The stunning stained glass windows and intricate woodwork add to the charm of this venue. Whether you're attending an event or simply exploring, Assembly Hall is a must-visit for anyone interested in Edinburghโ€™s cultural and architectural heritage.

Lovely place and relatively big. Good artwork inside the hall and good architecture. It is on the first floor. It is immediately on the left hand side as soon as you enter from the main road into the Mound Place.

Here for the fringe and in the balcony and found that the view was restricted and very difficult to see with high front edge and columns all along the front. Seats reasonably comfortable but after 5 minutes the place was so hot that it doesn't matter how good they were

Great venue with a variety of shows on during the Fringe. Building is beautiful but has a lot of stairs. If you have access issues it is best to phone ahead to avoid the crowds. Disabled access is on the Royal Mile at the back of the building.
