Absolutely great local pub with an outstanding sunday roast. It was a lovely roast with the best lamb. And not even expensive for a london pub this is definitely top 10. We will be back

The staff here were fantastic. They really made you feel welcome from the second I walked in. Definitely felt like a locals pub. Sunday roast was pretty good except I think the gravy and maybe potatoes were microwaved because they were hotter than the sun and destroyed my tongue. Affordable food and drinks and the meal was a very generous serving size.

I stayed in this area for about a week, and this place made me feel at home. Good service good food Good crowd cheering for sports game, arguing over when to get a shingles vaccine shot, trying to toss a hat and wear it without touching - it was a heartfelt opportunity for me to have a glimpse of londoners life. A pub that functions as true local cultural hub. Thank you so much and hope to see you again!!!

Came here twice this week as I was in town again for business…. Sunday roast (lamb) was so good I had to come back tonight to try an authentic fish and chips. Both were excellent! Service was great both times and the feeling the place was exactly what you’d want in a pub off the main tourist paths. Sunday was laid back and quiet. Tonight (Wednesday) was a lit bit more lively with football on the TVs, but still it maintained a local, great vibe. Prices are excellent and both times the service was welcoming and great. The gent who greeted me tonight and let me try my peas “two ways” made me feel like a local and a welcomed friend. Thanks to all here…

Warm, welcoming and just a lovely atmosphere. The staff here are very friendly and professional. It is a family owned business so that makes it even better. I have some very fond memories of coming to this pub, I would highly recommend it to friends. Their roast dinners and burgers are really lovely too.

What a great place. It's been a long time since I experienced such committed and delightful hosts. We arrived when the kitchen had a break, but the host's wife still made sure we weren't hungry. The food was delicious and the portions solid. The hosts went out of their way to make us happy, helping us choose drinks and desserts. It was definitely the highlight of our culinary trip.

When first walking in the atmosphere is very welcoming. They won't be very polite and mentioned we should enjoy the back patio on a day like today. Great service. The food arrived and we chose the fish and chips and steak and gravy. First, let's talk about the flavour and there was so much. Well spiced with great taste. The beef and gravy had an amazing pastry crust. Such an enjoyable taste. The second meal was the fish and it batter on it was topped with some rock salt which worked perfectly. The fish was very light with a unique flavour I can't describe but was great. Lastly, let's discuss the price and I will say that the price is extremely reasonable and not tourist pricing and great value for what you receive. It is worth the effort to check out this location
